Freediving the Wrecks of Hawaii

After many long months stuck at home I was finally able to go overseas! So I booked a flight to Hawaii with my friend Mauro for some freediving fun time adventures!
In this video we explore the wrecks of Oahu on one breath. In case you didn't guess...the wrecks are stunning! They are nice and deep and there's so much life on them all!

I really like Australia and it's people, but your government is terrible and many in the US want to be like them...anyway, glad you're back at it. Watching everyone swimming up to the surface with no fins is like watching angels ascend into heaven, its beautiful. My first time freediving was in horrible murky reservoir water, at 16 meters I could barely see my hands or the line. But as soon as I looked up toward the surface, it felt like the light of heaven shining down on me, and everything was still and perfect. The most tranquil experience I’ve ever had

i do tons of compressor diving and im used to "dirty" water after storms. however it looks worse than it is. its a thick layer floating at the top (about 1-3 dm) once u dive under its usually crystal clear. it is howeverkind of scary u have no idea whats in the brown water

Oh .. an 'oiler' is Navy speak for 'fuel tanker' So the big ships don't need to manoeuvre to fill up. It makes more sense for these 'small' oil tankers to fill the ships up where they are. A 'Yard Oiler' (YO) means those ships are built to do it only whilst the big ships are docked in harbour. The other type can do it on the open sea. This moving refill the Navy boys call ' underway replenishment' (UNREP) Refuelling on the high sea (whilst the big ship is travelling, (as you might imagine) requires a totally different class of ship than one that can putt around inside a harbour. BTW, that last ship you push off from at 14:50 looks awfully like a troop landing ship (think opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan) I think the Mahi was where you did your Titanic move, but that was a different wreck to 14:50 no ? (Maybe same site ?)
