Agree with Ram Street. I think of it as a parody of Fighting Fantasy but the sci-fi entries specifically. Let's see how this goes! The new book could even be in the shop's store rooms already! They've been sold early by mistake in the past... LOL the book intro so full of unnecessary named things. Nonsense lore OVERLOAD!!! Yea you have to learn your combat skills and ship skills. Rather than give us the power fantasy, it leaves it to you to learn about actual flight LOL The rating system is against the player's favour! All other systems in fighting fantasy are subtly in the player's favour but not Sky Lord's! You start with Rating 2 I believe... Oh it can be higher based on a roll, okay. I wasn't in chat... I've read this book :p I couldn't finish it even though I was mapping it out. There was such an awful puzzle room. Maybe Martin Allen is really Mark Hamill and he used the details he knew about the prequels. Over an hour in; finally got through the background! 1:14:55 We're not going to another dimension. We're jumping to a different dimensional level to travel more quickly. Obviously it's hokey. You keep saying it came out in 88, but it was written in 2088 in the 4th dimension. Cut it off or burn it off... Sounds like we have a nasty wort somewhere sensitive... Didn't you say before we lose shield of the number rolled as long as it's not above our laser number? That would move it a bit faster, but maybe I made it up! Wait you rolled double 1 with a 4 advantage. So you'd draw if the enemy rolls a total of 6. Any higher you'd take one hit. Or is this instant death laser combat? Ah it's your own rule... I dont think you needed your own instadeath rule for Sky Lord. It has enough of its own unfair combat system deaths! I like the idea for adding to the oficial rules of this book though, should have told Martin Allen in 1988... You replace the dice every time they do you wrong? Haha Comment probably to be continued...
