ebk305 could be why it's overheating. sometimes mixing antifreeze causes it to turn to gel (depending on they types used) and that will definitely make it overheat.

auSR20DETin duh BMW and mini use blue coolant. It's supposedly a "special mix" but we always thought it helps us technicians find leaks faster for warranty work. It shows up as a florescent color under UV light

No coolant should be mixed. If you have too little ask the garage that last serviced your car/cooling system what type they used and get the same. Or empty the entire system and fill it up with that type and bleed it again. Also one should always check the instructions on what type the car needs. Some systems have O-ring's which need a addative in the cooling that mabye only blue types have. But if you really wanna find out, mix ahead. So i would quite honestly suggest to Adam that he goes and check what type the 240SX and the 1JZ takes and find one which complies with both.
