Careful with oiling those bolts, you can capture the oil in the bolt hole and hydraulic fracture the casting when you torque them.

I don't know about you guys but after I get a steady job with decent pay, the money for leisure will definitely be spent on doing stuff like this. It's one of the only things that I've been wanting to have in my future for a few years now. It's always enjoyable and painful to see people doing stuff like this. Painful because of the waiting part(still studying full time). Enjoyable because it feeds my desire to have it in the future and always a good thing to see people enjoy doing it.

5:50 titanium is not an alloy, it is an element. However, the retainers you used are made out of titanium alloy, which is an alloy that is mostly titanium. Common, it's not that difficult ;)

Hey Adam my family owns a engine/machine shop here in Az, a cool thing me and my dad do is take our old parts/scrap and make gifts or art out of them, we've made paper towel holders out of rocker shafts and pistons and a clock out of a flywheel and spark plugs, and much more, so your keychain idea would be pretty cool! Damn that engine is looking good! For the keychain idea soften up any rough edges so it won't tear your pockets, I made one with a piston and conrod from a RC nitro engine and my pocket was destroyed after a week.

The SR20's with the Black silicone sealant was produced in Japan. The SR20's with the Orange silicone sealant was produced in Australia. The Kangaroo emblem could be a marker that it is a SR20 which was produced in Australia.

Also there were no bearing measurements ( no bore gauge, no micrometer). Improper honing , and a poor "valve job" with grinding compound. lol. Water leak test on valves really only says they aren't bent, could still have terrible sealing under pressure. And rolling rings onto the pistons LOL. No proper piston ring plyers. I would not pay for this labor.

I loved this video, i am a future mechanic so seeing you show all the tools and explaining them the way you did made me laugh valve springs and retainers as a key chain is a great idea to do, also those little things that hold the springs in place are called keepers but I'm glad you're learning!

Got VERY exicted when I seen you were using almost the same exact piston and rod set up I went with. Except I got 86.5mm bore. I also currently have my SR head in the shop being port and polished, along with new bronze guides, BC valve springs and retainers, and BC stainless steel valves.
