Yeah the black trim looks so much better! For the factory E36 cooling panel, the front tucks under the nose panel and then its attached with 4 bolts to the core support. And the intake thing on it is for a duct that goes to the alternator on the factory engine to help keep it cool.

When you use dip and wanna get the tape off spray a coat or on last coat while it’s wet peel it because the chemical reaction essentially melts everything making it easier to take it off for future reference

@Adamlz When your taping off like that to use plastidip along masking tape gotta make sure on your last coat to make sure you get it nice and wet along the tape line then make sure to peel the masking tape WHILE its still wet then it wont stick.

The best results I've got from plastidip without having it lift what you are actually trying to paint is by pulling off the masking while it's still wet

Had this issue with my jeep. 4.0L cast-iron inline 6 as well. It was over heating on trails getting up to 220 to 230. We don't get air flow other than from fans. So had to end up going with an all aluminum dual pass with 3 fans as well as a 165 thermostat. Now it runs at 180 to 200. Perfect.

For everyone out there, cavitation is when water quickly turns to steam and forms bubbles of vapor, then said bubbles get filled with the surrounding water basically imploding, chipping away bits of the material, this is a very common and dangerous occurance with water pumps
