If my memory serves me correctly, Scott is basically the reason why dry ice blasting is popular in the KZbin automotive space at the moment. I remember Tommy visiting Dryce like 4 years ago, and he adopted it, and it's been the trendy thing ever since!

And to an extent, pioneered the process as it is today.

Tom frick yes is the master of all things dry iced and zinced. Legend has it the reason he's been absent on KZbin is because hes been in recovery from dry ice blasting and fully zincing his bald head😮

There is actually a wax coating on all the early Porsches. Which is why the engine and whole under neath of the car looks a bit brown. It's actually made to prevent rust and its a very good sign for an original car, which thus leads to increased value. So generally, you don't want to get rid of your wax! Haha

It's cosmoline meant to protect the cars when shipped outside Germany. To keep the salt air from corroding things. For daily drivers, we can easily replace that with a newer clear option.

Adam, your honesty on everything you do, or are involved in, are why you are successful, it resinates with fun, and a passion for living a life free from BS. I’ve ridden BMX my whole life. I’m 48 now, and have owned an E-36 to drift in the past. Being from Utah, I’ve had my share of influences. Fuzzy Hall, which I witnessed at our local track Twin Peaks in the late 80s, Matt Beringer, Mike Aitken, and countless others that have been critical in our culture. I’m now just a fan of drifting. I enjoy the fact that you influence others to be one with their passion in life. As long as I’m able to ride, I will. Thanks for all of the passion and influence you bring to us, the fans.🤘🏻😝

Adam, loving your content! I've been a fan since your BMX days, and we both share a passion for Porsche's. Quick tip for your large-scale tear downs: grab a multi-compartment hardware tray with a lid (Home Depot has them). It's a game-changer for keeping your hardware organized. Put sticky notes on compartments with instructions like "Large bolt at 9 o'clock, small bolt at 3 o'clock," etc. Learned this in a body shop, and it's saved me countless times. Keep the awesome Porsche content coming!

(If Tommy was the "White Rabbit" that sent Adam down the dry-ice rabbit-hole, then Scott is the "Mad Hatter" of that Wonderland!) 😁 I worked for Emerson Electric in the 80's and our plating department used a heated (180F) alkaline aqueous Ultra-Sonic cleaning bath on magnesium-based parts before plating. A (12 pH or higher) solution formula consists of 4oz/gal. each of sodium hydroxide & sodium carbonate with a small bit of surfactant 0.1 oz/gal (anionic & nonionic) in a de-ionized water base. Cleaning is done for 5-10 minutes at temp and then rinsed in a 2nd heated Ultra-Sonic with just de-ionized water that was filtered through a re-circulating pump!
