I platinumed the game just two days ago, was about to see how you platted the game, but ended up doing my own path, and did it myself. Surtur's challenges, the collectables, Niflheim, and the Valkyries pretty much gave me carpal tunnel, but it was worth it. Now off to Horizon!

I got this plat last year. I remember I used to load this last Valkyrie fight every day just get my ass kicked 15 -20 time then I quit the game and starts to play something else. But one day something clicked I was in the zone and I killed her in my first try without the resurrection stone. I will never forget that moment. That made me feel like a badass.

I got the platinum in 2 weeks and 4 days and I beat the valkyrie queen in 4 attempts. I got my health down to when I had to use a resurrection stone in just a couple minutes I told myself that that run was ruined and I beat her that same run

Games I enjoyed getting the platinum: Untitled Goose Game, Gris, COD: MW (only single player), God of War, Spider-Man, NieR:Automata (you can buy the trophies in-game, basically a cheat 🙈), Detroit: Become Human, Ratchet&Clank, Uncharted 4, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Until Dawn and Infamous Second Son. I got 44 platinum trophies and those were my favorites. ;)

@@AdamMcDermott so, I finally did it. Completed the game, that is. Took a while for it to really click for me (I actually stopped playing entirely for a full month), but I'm glad I saw it out. They've laid the foundation for what I think will be an amazing sequel. Sigrun is all that stands between me and the platinum, and I'm enjoying the fight honestly. After all that travelling around collecting stuff, it's nice to be able to get stuck in. My lowest moment was probably Niflheim. I just thought it was fundamentally boring, so knocked it down to easy to mop it up ASAP. Still took bloody ages. The collecting isn't great, but it was sometimes pleasant to revisit areas I'd been to before, as the game is so stunning. Well done for getting the plat on this one as it is fairly gruelling. Nice that it can be done on easy though, so within reach for anyone

Sigrun is one of the toughest boss fights in recent gaming. Took me over 50 attempts!

Yeah I've played all of the Souls games and It took me longer to beat Sigrun than it took to beat Owl (Father) in Sekiro and Nameless King in Dark Souls 3 COMBINED. Sigrun does telegraph her moves but you have like 0.1 seconds to react correctly to them and many of her tells look alike so you have to guess which attack is coming next out of 2-3 possible attacks from that animation and you have like a tenth of a second to react. It's all about pattern recognition and the ability to pour on the DPS faster than she can hit you twice. I found optimizing Runic and Cooldown to constantly spam and cycle through fast runic attacks worked best. By the time I finished doing the 5th runic attack, (Atreus') the first one cooled down and was ready to use again.

I was able to get the platinum at the end of my 1st play through thanks to doing absolutely everything the game had to offer, leveling up to Level 9, right before taking on the Valkyrie queen and defeating her in less then an hour.

It took me back to when I was grinding to get that Platinum. A very great game for which this trophy is actually fun to get - maybe apart from these spying birds to kill. This game was brilliant. I have the plat as well and I played through the hardest difficulty after. It is a whole new league of hard. The queen had me up for 4 hours hours well into the night (2 am). Would you recommend GoW 1-3?

Chef_BoySauce GoW 1-3 is amazing. GoW 1 is a bit just combat driven, good story but 2 and especially 3 are amazing story lines. And give a good insight to kratos and why he is the way he is

I agree with the other person who replies to you. GoW 1-3 are great. The combat is fluid and you understand Kratos better. The trilogy story is nuts. They are a bit juvenile at times - sex mini-games - but did start on PS2 and it was a different era.

Man, Sigrun was a bitter pill to swallow. She wiped the floor with me for hours and I don't even remember what helped me beat her in the end, but I still vividly remember that I always circled around the arena, but there always came a point where I was too engrossed in the fight that I ran into the wall and that's when she always got me. I really need to finally play Ragnarök, but I'm still not done with my current project, because there is just so much shit to grind for.

Finished my platinum last night. The tip I found very helpful with the queen was a tailsmen that slows time. Fully upgraded you can nearly squeeze in all of your runic attacks
