The only classic GOW game I've been able to play. Funny seeing the similarities and differences in our platinum journeys. I went through on Titan first, definitely a challenge, and later cleaned up on Spartan. The Challenge of Olympus was fairly easy, but I also got stuck on the same one. I just went around it until I had no other choice. Definitely a rough one and I don't even remember how I did it. Congrats on the platinum!

God of war 3 was my first platinum that I managed to get, so congrats on yours too! :D I just completed platinum on Resident Evil 3 and I had a fun time with that game, the only hard part was probably the final Boss on the 2 hardest difficulties. @@AdamMcDermott The worst part about the last Nemesis fight was that he could so easily stunlock you and if you couldn't avoid his attack you were screwed because you unfortunately can't open your inventory at any time. I failed many times because of it, but it felt so good once I did beat him, it was like beating a difficult Dark Souls boss haha ​​XD Oh I can't wait for that video to come out! :D I know you play one main series Resident Evil game a year, but will you ever play non-main series ones like Code Veronic X, Zero, Revelations 1 & 2 or any other? :)

I’ve been putting off my Platinum runs for a while now. God of War 3 blew me away the first time I played it but I feel like it won’t be the same magic this time around. (The opening of the game is still one of the sickest moments in videogame history.) I have done RE3 Remake this year after being not sure about it (and mediocre reviews). This will be an easier challenge for sure. I had a lot of fun. Looking forward to it.

I have no idea how long a gaming session lasts but you need to take pauses more often, I am afraid. It took me more than 3 weeks to platinum this game (without playing every day, of course) but it feels like you are rushing through them in 2 days. Take your time and appreciate the games, mate. Sessions are normally 2 hours. Got this platinum over 3 weeks too. Gives you an idea of just how grumpy I was with God of War III towards the end, haha. Don't worry, next episode is Resident Evil 3 and I had a great time with that.

Wonderful guide as always Adam. I just platinum the game myself. I not sure which was my favourite out of the trilogy but I still think that ares boss fight is still my favourite in the series so far. I platinum the whole trilogy and ascension. Which was really fun and also incredibly stressful with the hard play throughs. Challenges were a pain especially doing challenges of exile which were worse and glad there wasn’t a trophy for it). One thing that I did differently was playing the game on chaos mode rather than titan which was a lot harder especially boss fights(of Hades,Hermes and Zeus). will you at some point also do the spin off titles of chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta although they PSP titles they did port them to ps3 like with God of war 1 and 2. Keep up the good work and I begin God of war 4, once I taken a break finished some of my other games first.

Love GoW and totally agree Adam, the third game lacks something. I felt like the bulk of the game I was going through the motions too. However the emotionally charged character development Kratos goes through because of Pandora is some of the best I’ve ever experienced in gaming

I'm going to be honest,the most satisfying trophy I've ever earned in any video game came from me playing GOW3,and the specific trophy was having to complete Pan's Labrynth without falling or dying or aMAZEd. This was like my 4th type replaying the story and I was just in a good groove by the time finished the Labrynth and I didn't even know about the trophy when it showed up.

It's not that difficult on easy, you can even save like 3 times during the labyrinth. If you die just reload from the last save. At least in this one you can do these one by one and save. I remember back in the days God Of War 1 challages took me a lot to do it. Espescially the last one, where you are on the elevator and you have to keep killing to get up, but the enemies can kick you out of the ring and then there was the game over 😬.

My favourite game on PS3, the game that I bought the PS3 for and with, one of my favourite game of all time, as it's an epic way to end a great trilogy. It's a boss rush, god after god, titan after titan. I never experienced something like this before and after I played it. It was and still is such an unique experience. Also I loved platinuming this aswell even though some of the challenges were really painfull. I was hoping you liked it more Adam, but it seems to me that you're only a big fan of the first God Of War (which is great, don't get me wrong) but the first God Of War I played was the second one, so I'm more attached to the two sequels. For me God Of War 2 & 3 are the best in the series.

@@JoeyNovo to be honest, I kinda agree with that statement. For me what God Of War 3 lacks is in the variety of locations/settings. For most part of the game, for me the settings are too dark. I mean at the begining of the game there supposed to be day time, and after you kills Helios the light dissapear, but for me it was same before and after Helios death 😂 lol. But the rest is just awesome, like how you could not get excited while killing Cronos? Which Adam didn't shown, and for me God Of War 2 & 3 offers the best story in the series. The meaing of vengeance, which is useless.Vengeance didn't gave anything back to Kratos, he suffered more and more, he was seeking for firgiveness, but before to get forgiven by others, you need to forgive yourself. Pandora is such a beautiful character, and the epilogue of this God Of War always sticked in my mind, Kratos gives the hope to all the humanity, because he was a human before being a god, and as Pandora said, is Hope what makes us strong. I'm sorry but I get emotional everytime I talk abiut this game, Is simply my childhood 😁

I showed gameplay and panoramic shots of both Underworlds in the comparison. Fair to feel like I stiffed the game. I didn't show much of the story, unfortunately I just glazed over. Didn't have much to say.

@@AdamMcDermott I also love the first one, don't get me wrong. If we arrived at 8 games in the series today, is all thanks to the first one. But I just prefers the two sequels. Maybe because the first God Of War I've played was God Of War 2, after that I was so excited to see the ending/part 2 of the story. I think it was the first time I was seeing a videogame where the story was interupted (like Matrix Reloaded). After playing the second one, I played the first one and Chains Of Olympus. But the second one sticked in my mind. The story and the settings were so gorgeous. So back in 2010 I can say God Of War 3 lived to the hype for me. The fact with you is, I had the impression of you just liked the first God Of War and maybe you're not really a big fan of the series. I mean you had been critical for all the others one, you was a bit bored while playing God Of War 2, even this one didn't get you that much and even God Of War 4 if I'm not wrong you didn't really enjoyed the combat 😅. When for me finally the combat has it's own identity and techincality, it's not just roll and hit, you can make really masterpieces of combos etc... And there're lot of things to praise on God Of War 3 for me, like you've played the remastered version of it, but can you believe, that this game came out on Playstation 3 in 2010 and it's still impressive on PS3. The music score is just the best in the series for me (composed by Gerard Marino), espescially Rage Of Sparta, God Of War 3 Overture, Poseidon's Wrath, Pandora's Theme etc... But some critics I even agree with, like the settings variety on God Of War 3, useless ammount of collectibles in God Of War 4 and some little things here and there. But maybe you will come back to these, just to re-enjoy the story, and you will appreciate these more ;)
