It's BIZARRE. She talks about her full grown adult self as if she was soooo young and didn't know better, but talks about a literal child as if "he should know better". It's so weird for a 30+ year old woman to try and blame this on a kid, and the fact she even thought it was a defense shows how twisted her perception is. Bredators will often say that the child "came on to me" because in their mind that justifies it. That's literally EXACTLY what she is doing. Thinking that even IF Adam asked for the underwear, or he made the relationship inappropriate that justified her continuing it that way is just so twisted. It is ALWAYS the responsibility of an adults to keep the relationship appropriate, not the child's. Her belief that she can blame it on a child is sick.
@familyheirloomtomato Жыл бұрын
I don’t agree with Colleen at all and the language she used is very manipulative. I’d never do or say what she has done, BUT I find it funny how young people think people 20-30 are grown adults. As a 31 year old I can say I was hella dumb in my 20s and still now make ridiculous embarrassing mistakes (none like this tho). You talk to a 50+ year old and they call us kids because they know we’re still dumb. Our frontal lobe isn’t even fully formed until 21, and our brain still keeps growing and changing until late 30s. HOWEVER she still can’t use that as an argument or excuse because she clearly has a lot more going on which is evident through adams videos seeing the way she talks to her fans and uses manipulative language.

being told things like “you’re coming across as obsessed/you’re just milking this for attention” or “it was X years in the past, she apologized, why are you still being it up now” are reasons why victims are so reluctant to come forward and publicly talk about how they were taken advantage of. we NEED people who relentlessly speak up and insist there be consequences for people like colleen or else things get swept under the rug and the same exploitation and abuse continues to happen. continuing to speak up holds their feet to the fire and also serves as an example for current minors who look up to content creators (or like, anyone in a position of power over them in their life) to recognize this dynamic and give them the tools to understand this is wrong, set boundaries, and protect themselves from being taken advantage of.

I honestly hope that out of all of the people she associates with, maybe Eric will turn out to be a decent person who was just manipulated by her, only in the hopes that maybe he will leave her and take the kids. Probably a long shot but it would be comforting to think they had a safe person

There are situations that I look back on from when I was a teenager that still boil my blood, and I’m almost 30. There is something extra painful and traumatizing about being taken advantage of by adults when you didn’t know better/couldn’t do anything to stop it. Some people may see you as being “obsessed”, I see it as processing deep seeded trauma.
@dianaking1106 Жыл бұрын
Yes, how very traumatic that he received a pair of bra and panties that he literally begged for. Everything is "trauma" to this generation and it's f*cking ridiculous. Everything "triggers" you. It's almost laughable if it wasn't so damn infuriating to those who have actually experienced real trauma.

Bro the way she tried to 'contextualize' the underwear is literally the same argument pedophiles have used....she was literally saying "but he wanted it, he was begging, i just couldnt turn him down." Like jesus h christ, i know it was literally a lie but even if it wasnt, how could that 'argument' make it ANY better. This woman has always given me the creeps - it sucks to be right.

Before 20 i cringe at the things I’ve done. After 20 you really see the sense of self of who you’re going to be, especially with women and their frontal lobe. Coming from someone who was groomed, and thought this was completely normal. I applaud you for figuring this out so young, thank you for bringing this to light, I really hope this educates younger kids that see this.

Yea even in her manipulated version of the underwear story she comes across terribly. No 30 year old should even remotely be thinking that lingerie is an appropriate thing to send to a 14 year old. That's not something that can be forgiven as a "silly immature mistake by a young person".

Being a 3rd lengthy video about colleen it would seem a bit "obsessed" but I will say that it's not. GASLIGHTING. EMOTIONAL TRAUMA. You were so innocent and genuine not knowing you were dealing with a wolf in sheep's clothing. A dangerous person who fooled a lot of people. And hung you out to dry. Beyond triggering for me. I tear up as you share and relive the past trauma explaining everything you went through. All the pain. It's a lot. Like the wax museum story for one. You deserve to talk about this as much as you want for the next 3 years as far as I'm concerned. She can't ignore this forever although she's trying. I can't imagine what she would or could even say. Hope the level of outrage stays high as to demand some accountability for your sake Adam.
@Emma.H06 Жыл бұрын
I think it’s insane to call you “obsessed” because you are speaking up (AGAIN) now that you have external validation for the grooming you experienced. So many people never get the opportunity to have their trauma validated by others, and having that opportunity is so meaningful. Make all of the videos you need. Speak your truth, THE truth about what you have been through, ESPECIALLY now that people are actually listening.

Kory explicitly telling you to post a pic of you in the underwear 🤢 The authorities need to go through his messages. Adam is definitely not the only one, and who knows what else he would say to kids. What would he have asked for after that? He is a DANGER to children and it should be looked into more.

Alot of the 'friendships' I had with adults as a teen has taught me to tell the students in my care... "any adult not directly connected to your parents try to be your friend is a red flag, because adults are told over and over by society at large its not appropriate. Adults know better." Usually that wordy statement really seems to get them to understand why their parents war them against having adult friends. From personal experience they want something from the child, power, validation, sex, etc.
@michibmoon Жыл бұрын
YES! I have worked in Dayschools/daycares/camps before and I always stayed when they include training on how to be a responsible adult and keep other adults in check. One of the main rules was to not get too friendly with any of the kids! Specifically because it's groomer behavior. Textbook groomer behavior. Colleen is literally a textbook groomer.
@Justignorekas Жыл бұрын
@Michi Moon yes. And I always give age appropriate answers to any questions they have. Alot of the teens are really respectful understanding. Some younger kids tend to get stuck on 'but let's play minecraft', that happens I tell them again infront of the parent word for word what I did before. This gives them a full understanding of what was conveyed to their child and I offer to put in writing if they would like. Autistic children tend to get over attached** so we can add a report to keep on file. The parents usually handle it really well and the kid understands eventually. 👌 ** completely normal as understanding social stuffs (sorry words are not working) is literally what their brains aren't built for, though most excel once they learn how to unmask and socialize at their comfort levels. ♡ As someone with ADHD I relate way too hard as I over socialized and was just as clingy with teachers I liked. 🙃

I remember when she uploaded this video. Im pretty sure the video was expertly put together with her PR team because to be honest I believed it at the time. I think it was believable because she speaks with such conviction and a serious tone that it implies that there’s no way she could be in the wrong. Like when you pointed out, she showed the “receipt” of the texts. She intentionally didn’t read it out loud. That is a trick that people use to look more honest, showing random texts even if it’s out of context or don’t add to their case. Just to say “I have evidence” and as a causal viewer people won’t look deep into it and just believe her quick concise video. She framed it like, “this is what happened (from my pov) now we can move on.” She cleverly covered all the holes that could make her look in the wrong. Ultimately, I think it’s important that you’re bringing up this video, because I am quite scared that a lot of people and myself believed her. It goes to show how easy it is to deceive as a public figure, as long as you follow a certain format. And I’m so sorry that you were the victim of this scheme.

I’m Colleen’s age, and I have to say that even if the underwear situation went down exactly as she edited it, it would still be fucking CREEPY that she did that! And it wouldn’t have been your fault in that situation either. You were a CHILD!!!! I know you didn’t, but even if you had literally begged her for the underwear, it would not be your fault or responsibility to establish appropriate boundaries with an adult. I’m so sorry she treated you this way, and I’m SO sorry she’s gotten away with it for this long. You’ve handled yourself with such maturity, grace, and integrity. Thank you for your bravery and vulnerability in speaking out- both on your own behalf and the behalf of her other victims. 💓💓
