That pricing means the group stage will fetch in an extra £8m or so per season just for the group stage. That can only be good for increasing the scope to bring in players under FFP rules, which is neccessary if Newcastle want to be a top team.

NUFC tickets as a whole are some of the most competitive in the league. If you have committed to the club over the (bad) years via direct debt scheme you still benefit from discount. Also cup tickets is fine I went to all anyway so no issues. Only issue is getting tickets for kids in earlier rounds which needs to thought about.

I dont think The Champions League ticket prices are that bad yes it is difficult times for everyone globally economically but in terms of football ticket prices I dont think the situation as regards Champions League ticket prices for Newcastle United is that bad in reality. The price increases for season tickets @ Saint James Park I guess has to be expected unfortunately. It's good to see Newcastle United eventually get a nice home kit again eventually the only thing that Lets it down slightly is the sleeve sponsor the yellow stands out far to much could it not have been black with white or yellow text if nessersy as regards the yellow but apart from that it looks very traditional the best Newcastle United have had since Adidas was the kit manufacturer & NTL was the Sponsor when Shearer was still playing. I would like to wish Newcastle United & The Toon Army all well for the season ahead expect when you play my Premier League club. Been following The Premier League & my club since the 96/97 season. I'd pay £55 but I'm in a position to do so. Moot point talking about the income from ticket sales going back into signings: what is a more reasonable price, £40? If so, that's £15 less than the pricey 55. 15 x 52000 is £780 000 extra funds put back into the club which is marginal.

They need to build a fan base to go anywhere and at £40 for a team just classified as ‘Professional level! No club will ever build a network. Under 16’s with an adult should be free, or all under 16’s upto £5 that way school kids can go watch games together for next to nothing and that generation will grow and so on.

I would imagine Newcastle may well coast through the qualifying group but then play a team already out in a big way in the final game so that would be a very high price. Newcastle may have competition for the signing of James Maddison and might be lucky to sign Nicola Barella because look at the Italian squad nearly all the players are home based.

This is pretty average for all Euro Comp's, paying for 3 group games in advance although expect the KO stage games, if you get there, to be even more expensive, if their charging everybody £55 for each of the 3 group stage games then they are probably going to charge £70 - £ 75 in the KO stages, that's going by what West Ham did over the last 2 seasons but they didn't charge all at the same price, for Euro games, it went as per season ticket prices some people paid £40 or £50 where as my season ticket seat was £70 per KO stage.

I have to decide NOW if i want to pay for every cup game OR they'll sell my seat to members and i dont get a chance to decide later. Also meaning I miss out on any potential finals.

@J B it states in the email that if ST holders don't opt into schemes by the 5th of July the remaining seats will be sold to members and WONT be available to ST holders. Basically, Decide now or miss out on everything. They've also changed to mobile ticketing so you can't even commit now and then give your ticket to a mate if you can't make it on the day...
