Love these old karts. I have an early 80's KT 100, 14,000 rpm at 83 mph. 16 h.p on my race pipe and 12 h.p out of the can pipe. It was a Champion kart back in the day. If had guys try to buy my stinger race pipe a few times. I need to get it out and run it this year.

I raced there a few times back then, with a KT-100 motor. No way are they nearing 90 mph at the end of the front straight. 65 yes, 70 maybe, 90 no.

Agreed, the shifter karts where hitting in the 70's if i remember right. I was racing Junior 2 here at the time. Great times!

Even the modern day ka100 barely hit 70

Kt100 direct drive class were huge in Vancouver B.C. almost all shifters,superA and A drivers would join that class .... my favourite class and tt75 🙂🤙

In just 24 races, 12 races in both the Formula Ford 2000 and Toyota Atlantic, Barron made the jump from racing karts to Indy Car.... Too bad he never had competitive equipment at the top level.

They drew too many corners (7) on the back side of the circuit. (turns 9-15) at 1:14. There are only 5 turns there.
