Well, I just got the P-38K and it's very good. Engine power is almost constant (IE very high) to about 7000 meters. With proper flaps, it out-turns 109Ks. Only real weaknesses are bad roll rate and severe compression coupled with a low-ish rip speed.

I think jet combat catches people off guard. We spend so long learning props and then jets turn everything on its head. Aiming time is so much shorter, closing times so much quicker, speed becomes more important than altitude etc

On the other servers, it was like playing in stop motion. My friends from Rio de Janeiro managed to ping 130. Since I have plans to move to another city next year ... maybe I'll play again. Since War Thunder is not a game but a way of life!

I feel like you're discounting the defensive capabilities of the 15bis. I've found that with the 15bis and 17 alike, having a high energy sabre on your tail isn't the end of the world. By taking them into the vertical (don't scissors considering their roll rate) you can take advantage of the mig's phenomenal energy retention. while the sabre has a great turn rate, it will lose energy much quicker and will become a sitting duck

That's an option that I have used, but it only works when you're only facing 1 enemy and there's only 1 enemy in the area. By going vertical in jets, other enemies will rush towards you to kill you when you're going relatively slowly.

It's called the "local host". How to access the "local host": You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work! Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT: -Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila. Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT): -Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying. What I do is I record it on my laptop next to me at the same time as the gameplay on my PC, and combine them during editing. There is a way to overlay it over WT directly, but I've never done it.

One of my proplems with this plane is how inconsistent the guns are about 1/3 of the hits I get do no damage and I've put up to 6 shots into one guy before he went down. It just seems so strange that a jet that get such a small window to shot and such large caliber of guns seems to be so inconsistent. The second reason is just the f86 and to only time I can kill it is if the pilot fucks up and gives me a kill or I hit a lucky shot. Any other plane at 9.0 and even the f100 are easier to kill.

It's logical that higher calibers (lower fire rates) are more inconsistent than smaller calibers. When I hit they are usually crit or dead, but hitting with those high caliber cannons in jets is the difficult part. My main issue is roll haha.

Mig 15 bis is Bf 109 of jets IMO, only it does not rip its wings due to speed, but has worse guns tier for tier. I have the German variant and it fits right in with the German tree . BTW, nice aim.

GG Adam ! 1:00 J'adore la façon dont certains joueurs se suicident littéralement en allant droit dans ta ligne de mire. Le mec tourne et n'est absolument pas en danger mais se dit "tiens, et si je mettais juste devant ses canons". Autant je peux imaginer ça en bas Tier autant là contre des joueurs en jet 9,0 je me pose des questions ;) Niveau 40 ?! Est-ce que tu penses que jouer Jet est faisable avec un pilote niv. 20 ? ^^ Vers 5:10 je suis surpris du temps qu’il a fallu pour que ces mecs réalisent enfin qu’il faut que au moins l’un d’entre eux extend pour ne pas rester coincer dans ce genre de situation. J’ai toujours pensé que pour atteindre les jets il fallait un minimum d’expérience, vu le temps qu’il faut pour les grind :P Peut-être que je suis trop dur. (Normalement ils auraient dû tous immédiatement partir dans une direction différente et grimper mais ça demande un peu de communication ou d’expérience de la part de chacun ^^). Je pense peut-être tenter le gameplay jet du coup (avec le La-15) mais il va me falloir du temps pour grind ces trucs T_T Sinon, je sais que tu dois avoir une liste longue comme le bras d’avion à voler mais je me demandais comment était le Sea Fury et le dernier Seafire et pourquoi ces avions sont à relativement bas BR alors que ce sont des bons avions d’après-guerre. De la même manière je me demandais si tu avais fait des tests avec le N1K2 vs Ki-84 otsu ou même le premier Spitfire Griffon. Le N1K2 me paraît lent et pas exceptionnel pour du 5,7 … alors je me demandais : qu’est-ce qu’il fout en 6,3 ?

Ehh la plupart des fois le Mig15 ne sera pas capable de suivre une maneuvre comme ça! Jouer jet est toujours faisable, c'est juste qu'il ne va pas pouvoir tuer du monde et il va se faire tuer d'habitude. Ils croyaient que puisqu'ils sont 3, ils devraient éventuellement gagner, ce qui est la réalité habituelle pour eux après tout. Le F86 a fini par comprendre haha. Le La15 est bon apparemment. Sea Fury n'est pas maneuvrable à basse vitesse, et aussi il n'utilise pas la pleine puissance qu'il aurait utilisée si c'était encore la guerre. Le Seafire 47 est une version significativement plus lourde que le Mk22, il n'accélère et ne grimpe pas autant bien que les autres Spitfire. N1K2 ne vaut pas son BR du tout, ignore le.

I really love the mig engine, the power at low speed is very useful, but the roll, weapons and instant turn is absolutely annoying, is a dumb rock. I dont like how it flies, is the worst an high speed, and if a sabre can reach my 6 is very probable i gonna die because of his low potential in dodges. Is a very frustrating plane for me XD

The only way you can make this plane work is superhuman aim like Adam. You have no ammo to spray and it has a very hard time closing with a target for a close shot before it rolls out of the way.

Thanks mate! T/W certainly helps in being good at vertical maneuvers. It's a decent factor in vertical ER, but there are many others like wing geometry, aspect ratio, wingloading, etc, just like in turning ER. I recommend checking out my Maneuvering Energy Retention video for more on that.

We don't know the BR yet, so even if I knew its performance it wouldn't help much. I'd say it'll be like Fw190A but with great high altitude performance, and a bit heavier. It'll probably be 5.0 BR. I'm doing the event for it, though even if I didn't know what the event was I'd still receive it.

Learning jets make props any easier? I generally energy fight bnz preferably, German planes are kind of my nation of preference. So, that translates to jet warfare well I heard.

Thanks! Yeah it's a good idea to be good in props before going into jets. Some jet experience does improve your prop skills. Germans are kind of the oddball for early-mid jets, they would be the worst to play jets with to learn about jets in general.

How to access the "local host": You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work! Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT: -Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila. Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT): -Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying. What I do is I record the local host at the same time as the gameplay, and combine them during editing.

You should add to your plan 99% throttle, actualy 99,5% is enough to keep your engine and oil cool, so you dont loose power over time.

You don't lose power until your engine gets damaged. With min fuel as well, you'll never get into the red temps.

could you possibly do a video on the g.91 pre serie with the rather recent increase in BR by 0.3? ive had this jet for quite a wile but never fully understood on how to use it correctly. also with the new supersonic jets out, if theirs a up-tier the g.91 has to fight them.

Eh with their BR increase I don't think they are worth flying, there are better stuff out there at the same BR.

ya i guess your right, its a shame they did that, the g.91 used to be a great jet at 8.0 but it seams that it just cant handle the 9.0s and the supersonic jets. but because the g.91 in a down tier to 7.0 it would destroy everything. im hoping that the g.91 gets its BR down a bit (though alot of low tier jet pilots will hate it).

the ace seemed a bit lackluster, 2 people seemed to be afk and you got lucky when you survived the hunter attack. but those one taps were great none the less. keep them taps coming.

Yeah I agree, but then you have the maneuver kill on the last F86 which compensates the afk kill.
