if anyone's wondering, the majority of the movie was filmed in tulsa, OK. I'm so proud to be from the same place a great movie was made at.

Thanks for putting this up. I was one of the extras in the Save Our Station scene. All the interiors of the station were filmed at the Kensington Galleria, not too far from the location of Spatula City. In my scene, I actually had about five seconds of screen time with Michael Richards. When he says the line "Can we do it?" and runs into the audience, he turns to his left and does some slap five, hand jive (which he worked out right before filming) with the person on the aisle. That person was me. That scene was shot in two days. For you blooper fans, if you notice the shot taken of the audience from the back, I'm wearing a vertical striped shirt, in the front view, I'm in plaid. BTW - Al Yankovich is a really nice guy.

Adam, who just simply can not forget... Spatula City... Spatula City! From the 1989 classic comedy, "UHF Channel 62!" (totally humorous stuff!) For example: This weekend only, take advantage of our special liquidation sale. Buy nine spatulas, get the tenth one for just one penny. Don't forget, they make great Christmas presents. And what better way to say "I love you." than with the gift of a spatula? [Random Voice:] Spatula City... Spatula City!

1989 was a good year...many good, fun movies came out during the Spring/Summer of '89. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "Weekend at Bernies," "UHF, " etc. It's one of the years that "stuck out" during my childhood/teen years.

I saw this in Summer 1989 when it came out! I was 12. My friend Paul's mother took us to see this. I can't remember laughing for so long, and so deeply! Whoever said "laughter is the best medicine," was spot-on! Weird Al was a huge part of my childhood, and my Dad, who was born in the late 1930s (RIP) was also a huge fan! My Pops even liked Beavis & Butthead in the early 1990s! I'LL NEVER FORGET when my Pa told me that my mother found my "stash" (a fat doob, and what was left of a 1/4 oz. of decent 1990s bud, hidden in a Newport Box, AND hidden in the 8-track player on my record player... I thought I was going to catch the beating of my LIFE! Instead, to my utter shock, my dad told me of my mom's "discovery" (She was searching my room like a DEA agent!), and the kicker was this: During that era "High Times" magazine advertised a product called "Wizard Smoke," which was apparently, a non-psychoactive product that looked and apparently tasted similar to marijuana, but was 100% legal (I always assumed it was sold to shady people who could a) totally rip people off, selling it as bud OR b) Lace it with "sherm"/"dust"/PCP -As was *very common* in that era, but I digress... My pop, bless his soul, told me: "Your mother happened to find this in your room, but it's just that 'Wizard Smoke,' *RIGHT?!"* AS HE HANDED THE NEWPORT BOX BACK TO ME... *MINUS THE FAT JOINT!* I was so dumbstruck that I didn't even answer (I reckon he sensed my fear)... Anyhow, it was always my job to walk the dog at 9 or 10 pm... An oppertunity which I would take to smoke a doob and a menthol 🚬 ...However, on this particular night, my dad (who NEVER walked the dog), said: "Well, I'm going to take 'Bubba' for a walk now!" I was still speechless... Anyhow, he came back wreaking of "Old Spice" cologne (gee.. I wonder why?), and he returned after 30 or 40 minutes laughing is ass off, and he immediately turned on Beavis & Butthead, laughing histerically! And he had me bringing him pretzels liquorice sticks and other assorted "munchies." That night, I learned something; while my pops was generally a hardworking, sober man, who enjoyed a few Old Styles or Budwiesers with friends, or more commonly enjoyed a Jim Beam "on-the-rocks," though he was not a drunkard like me... I learned that my dad occasionally (but rarely) enjoyed a doob, here and there! I was so perplexed when he GAVE ME MY WEED BACK -minus a big fat joint (like I was going to "complain!" 😆) Man, I miss you, Dad... You were the best; strict AF, as a kid, but kinda "leaniant," TO A VERY SPECIFIC DEGREE, mind you (he would ABSOLUTELY NOT TOLERATE victimising *anyone,* aside from bullies). RIP, DAD!

Thanks for coming back to Tulsa, Adam. A little history on the bar...it was once known as Joey's, a local place where you could hear blues music, and after that it became the False Alarm, which was owned by a member of the Tulsa Fire Department for a time. Across the street, headed east is the Southern Hill Country Club, where a mob hit took place in 1981 by mobster Whitey Bulger, who was recently found guilty of 35 counts of murder including the one that happened there.

Then we went on to Spatula City at 63rd and Peoria. In the DVD commentary on UHF, Al tells the filming location addresses, it is awesome. Adam is so much fun AND I got to ride in the Woo van!
