But im afraid he will just see the world against him and possibly victimize himself. Anyway, some people are criticizing the drama reports, but i think its a good thing. The industry is progressing. Riders have been treated badly for long enough. Calling it out and thus damaging a brands reputation sends a sign that you cant do shit like that anymore and just get away with it without consequence. Thanks for bringing out both of these statements for us to hear! I gave Pieter the benefit of the doubt before, but this is the nail in the coffin. Hopefully not just for me. Cheers!

We should all want the community to grow, emotionally and physically. Violence is not acceptable. Threats are not acceptable. Can we forgive? Sure, but steps need to be taken to right the wrong actions. Whatever that takes, it's up to the parties involved, not the court of public opinion. We should completely rally around anyone who has been unjustly treated and support them. This stuff needs to come to light so the victims can heal, and possibly even the aggressor. I hope we can all be adults about this, and seeing the response, I'm pretty confident we can help each other move forward. Personally, I cannot continue to support Adapt after all of these testimonies. They will need to begin grand gestures towards those they've wronged for me to turn an eye to them again. Sad to hear you had this experience. Just to play "the devil's advocate" here: I had a pretty good experience with them and was also really scared they were way too small but I had a pretty helpful conversation about it / made pictures etc. When I tried them for the first time, I thought they were too small because my toes were so close to the front. After some sessions (probably a bit more than 3 though), and later heat moulding, I completely got used to it though and now I'm very happy I chose that size (which is also the "correct" size given the length of my feet but I just wasn't used to it). So maybe they've had occasions in the past where people actually bought them too big and this is where they're coming from. Or at least I hope for them that's the case, in terms of doing business it wouldn't make sense at all to sell somebody the wrong size..

I can also get the argument of niche buisness vs the easy going culture we have. We gotta put our dollars behind the companies that do it right. I'd love for there to be a anonymous survey for sponsored pros/riders to rate the companies they ride for. I'd love to see who does it right, wrong, and in between. i used to really respect these podcasts, but having been involved and know exactly what went on, this is literally just gossip. sad way to get clout, especially having only one side of stories while making these. not jounalism... just gossip youtube videos.

Technically, it’s more than one side. Also, are you saying your account of events is more valid than Dan and Bill’s?

@@wheelsceneblading Good response to "I used to really respect these podcasts (until people started exposing the truth about the company I ride for)." If this isn't what you believe is true, Russell, then go on one of said podcasts and tell your side of the story. This is far from gossip. Journalism is simple - it is reporting on things that have happened or that are happening. What happened was...two more former Adapt riders spoke on their experience with the brand and the owner. That is being reported on here, in this video. That is journalism. If someone doesn't like it, then they only like journalism that supports their views. And that, as we know, is a huge problem with the world today (and probably always has been). Thanks for another great video, Dave.

One man’s ‘gossip’ is sometimes another man’s reality. I’m glad you had a different experience than me!

A word to the wise: Instead of using social media as an innovation in communications, some use it as a gateway to judge others. This case doesn’t belong on this platform. It is a private affair that one does not want to be made public. Apparently you all did. It has consequences. Wrong conclusions can be drawn from something that is not explicitly stated. I skate on different brands, Adapt as well. I will keep supporting Adapt as a client. Others should too.
@wheelsceneblading2 жыл бұрын
So if there was any wrongdoing, you don’t think it should be made public knowledge so consumers can make an informed decision about which brands they want to support? As a consumer, I would like to know. Pieter’s had a chance to give his version of events, why shouldn’t these people be allowed to do the same?
@danielrobinson21232 жыл бұрын
People will draw their own conclusions anyway…. Videos like these just add relevant information and other views to help people make more informed decisions for themselves. Myself and bill are talking about our own personal experiences with adapt brand as riders. Why are you defending them so hard when you have no skin in the game? Nobody is telling you not to keep supporting them.
