I have so much respect for anyone whom chooses to live this lifestyle. Passing down information from generation to generation is what makes us a special species of animal. Having the heart to live is what separates us.

If God is life and no other then you are in both material and spiritual error. If empathy is the source of our wisdom, we are so cut off. People should not eat the animals. Killing others is repulsive until we get a taste for blood.

@@brucecampbell6578 by the way even God himself killed many people for disobeying his will. When Moses went up the mountain and come back down with the ten commandments and the exact instructions on how to build the mercy seat and the arch of the covenant. Just to find his own people had made a bull out of gold god gave them a choice worship him and nothing else or worship the gold bull. The one's who chose the bull was killed instantly. The bull god actually did have a name it was bawll you get time look up what that name actually means and what it's numerical number it adds up to be .

Knowing how to live this way is actually vital information. Current world is completely dependant on technology, which is extremely fragile. Something happens and technology is useless for an extended period of time, people will not have a clue of what to do. People are losing all knowledge of the things that got us to this point. The tried and true fundamental skills of survival, the most important knowledge a human can have.

The kind of family structure that these people get to still enjoy just doesn't exist anymore in the lower 48. The kind of freedom they have i always wanted to go to Alaska and enjoy the frontier lifestyle for a while but I won't ever get the opportunity. I am fighting a brain tumor and the amount of pain I experience on a daily basis just wouldn't go well with that lifestyle. I did live homeless for a little over 10 years so I did get a little bit of it I guess. My prayers and best wishes are with you all. God Bless and Good Bye.

@@gloriaelands1361 I was ran over and crushed by a drunk driver in a semi truck in 07 . I was wheelchair bound for two years and told that I would never walk again I've had 13 major surgery's and I am walking around again I was doing really good until I found out I have a malignant brain tumor. I hadn't taken anything for my pain until the cancer and now I have to take a lot . It's a much worse pain than I had before don't get me wrong the pain levels were very high but I could deal with it. Not this time I go to sleep screaming I wake up screaming I've lost the use of my left arm almost completely now and I can't seem to find any relief from my misery. I must have seen a dozen or more times on shows like this, a small sow with cubs walk up to full grown, giant alpha male grizzly bear, whip them like a rag doll, and then sit calmly and eat the salmon or caribou he worked so hard to catch right there in front of him. And he’d better not take a step towards her cubs, or he’ll get it even worse. Momma bears are not to be messed with! These very same grizzly bears walked the earth thousands of years ago along with 700 lb. Saber Tooth Tigers, standing over 4 ft at the shoulders on all fours. We all know how that ended. Respect!

Good for the parents teaching there kids . in the end these are survival skills. You never know when you will need them. In this day and age most ppl and kids loose it if they cant find a phone charger or wifi connection. Me and mine hunt fish camp grow our own food and we know what to eat in nature and what not. They know how to draw blood and stitch someone up as well as put in an iv.

If we have to grow and catch food to survive, where you gonna find IV meds and equipment. And why on earth would anyone need to take blood? Gonna test it in our makeshift lab in the woods, Gilligan's Isle style? I don't understand it. I taught my kids critical thinking and that as long as they don't panic and keep thinking, they can get through about anything. Omg- it would be fun to put our kids in a survival scenario reality show and see who fares better. I'm putting my money on yours! 🤣🤣🤣

The amazing part to me is that not only have these kids been taught these skills, day in and day out they actually cultivate what they have been taught into their own competencies. It's one thing to have been exposed to something it is a whole other beast to live the lifestyle and it be second nature to you. It is not a leisure activity or knowledge that is tucked in the recesses of their minds, but real skills that they have to call on every single day. It takes more than just the skill. It takes fortitude, perseverance, tenacity and discipline to live that lifestyle for an extended amount of time. This is way more than camping with the boy scouts!

Living in the Artic Circle where you starve & die quickly if your hunts don't bag people 500 lbs of meat or more im always left with one thought, why don't these people use silencers on their hunting rifles so the entire herd don't bolt after the 1st shot ? The goal should be to drop atleast 2 Elk ,Caribou etc every hunt ,a Fram Extended heavy duty oil filter built for the Chevy Vortec 4.6 liter engines & larger Vortecs make an excellent silencer & I doubt any fish & game warden would raise a stink .

Good question. Same thought I had, then I saw Glenn on Life Below Zero had one on his rifle. He, as well as most of the hunters I’ve come across since the topic came to my attention, use the term “suppressor.” It’s actually very common. Thanks.
