About Life Below Zero:
Life Below Zero follows six people as they battle for the most basic necessities in the state with the lowest population density in the United States. Living at the ends of the world's loneliest roads and subsisting off the rugged Alaskan bush, they battle whiteout snow storms, man-eating carnivores, questionable frozen terrain, and limited resources through a long and bitter winter. Some of them are lone wolves; others have their families beside them. All must overcome despairing odds to brave the wild and survive through to the spring. And when spring arrives in Alaska, rising temperatures bring mounting challenges as they work to prepare for yet another winter.

Own everything, no bills, off grid is the way to go. Need to set traps, go fishing, hunting, foraging, cut firewood, store water, this is your new job. Spend the nice weather upgrading your cabin and surrounding area, do what you can to be prepared for the winter, and btw never wash off your eggs, they will last longer if you don't. Chickens, goats, and rabbit's are great for renewable food sources.

Well that maybe partially true. But unless you are completely tuned out. We are in the beginning of a deep recession. The reset is coming to this country. We were strong, its going & has been going down hill for a long time. A country that pumps narcotics into every city in this country & stays in perpetual war with the tax payers money, profiting the industrial military complex. 1st strike 09/11, 2nd strike, 2008, 3rd strike 20 year war Afghana'scam, IE: USA's heroin supply, Hello, wake up people. @@cindytucker3065 Some people opt for the cheaper options (such as nearly fully built from the store) and they can be ok but you'll find with the more serious archers they build their own arrows using an assortment of parts to suit certain uses and they can be more high quality and durability is a part of that equation. Assuming you treat your arrows right and don't lose them you can get a lot of use from each one.

Here in, Life above 100. We subsidize live also. Alaska is just too dang cold. And its hard to move there. So over a decade ago. I move back to the boarder. Subsidized living here is different. 2 weeks out of the year I have to harvest my stable. At this same time is another food source that is about a month long. And then its followed by another two that about 2 weeks long. And water is very hard to have. It only rains about 2 or 3 DAYS a year..And those are in deep summer. This is when you must harvest your water. And you never know when that day of rain is. Plus it only rains for like an hour. Which maybe 2 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning. Add to this those two or 3 days are not together. An example is; It may rain on July 8th at 1 am, next rain can be August 18th at 5pm And thats it for 365 days. We do get some sprinkles now and then. But the ground doesn't get wet. So there is no collecting. And when it does rain. Whatever you have not caught withing 30 minutes after it stops. Is gone. For 15 years I have never received over 6 inches of rain. Most years it 3 to 4 inches. Where they report that we recieve 8 inches a year. I'd like to know. And yes I add all those 0.001 inch sprinkles..And they are not even close. FYI we get about 5 to 10 days of useless sprinkles through the year. And only one year did it snow enough to collect that. ( understand when I say it snowed. I mean no more then 1 inch of snow.) And most our food is plant based. Meat is very rare. Unless you like rattlesnake, jack rabbit, and pack rat. Oh and well is out of the question. Water is 1500 feet down and its not safe to drink for long periods. ( fine for a couple years but past that isn't good). I've been off grid subsistence living on the Mexico boarder for 11 years now. In a way I envy the wood and water in Alaska. But I hate the cold. I will never have the money to move to Alaska. For I would have to own a boat that could take me there. Ferry is too hard to get. And going overland, through Canada is too restrictive for a person to do it right. However. There are not a lot of places along the boarder either to have this life style.

Like I won't stop you from being a prepper, nor will I try to talk you out of it and tell you all the useful things you can do with your 💰 BUT at the same time people don't need you trying to make the world a scary place to everyone else so they can start living like you. @@BigZoe99 being prepared for economic collapse or natural disasters is childish behavior?... boy you sure wont last long - do you remember during covid when we ran out of toilet paper and everyone panicked? @BigZoe99
@BigZoe99 Жыл бұрын
@@UEE-kj6ek um no, what I said is childish is tryina force your beliefs on other people that aren't scared of the world like you are 🤷🏾‍♂️I never said being prepared was childish and idk how tf you came up with that. Dude you can say w.e you want but i guarantee Id be better suited to live in the wilderness than you would or just as good as you it you have experience. From 3yrs old to 15yrsold i was sent to live in Haiti, and there I had to kill chickens and goats for our dinners sometimes, help raise and care for our livestock, milk them, feed them and w.e is necessary, pick fruits from various trees, go pheasant hunting every Saturday at dawn🤫🤫Nobody said you shouldn't learn life skills that will prepare you if society ever collapses, my point is those doomsday preppers is what I was referring to when I said it's childish to try to push your beliefs on people that don't subscribe to that same line of thinking. And I was agreeing with OP that just cz you see the world as a scary place doesn't mean everyone else needs to see it that way. So yea, it would be pretty childish if they didn't think like that and here someone like you comes trying to tell.them what they're doing wrong and how they need to be living their lives. Some people don't view the world as the scary place it can be🤷🏾‍♂️ I know how scary it can get based on my time living in Haiti then DR then Harlem nyc, everyone's struggle can be diff and they might not see things as you do, but in no way does it mean you are more right than they are, cz most likely our civilization won't collapse any time soon.🤷🏾‍♂️ if it does, oh well I'm glad I learned some outdoor skills, but doesn't mean I'm gonna sit here tryina make.ppl scared of the world so they can learn the things I did 🤦🏾‍♂️they might be completely fine living the way they are and most likely may never need any of those skills

What do you think if most of the people in the world decide for that kind of life. And everyone one of them take a guns and vehicles, how many mooses or any other animals must be out there? And how long will be a clean fresh air in those woods?

probably a billion years longer than what the rest of the world has done already to the earth. they live sustainably. we do not. well i try and i do live sustainably much more than most i know but most everyone on earth is a glutton, lazy selfish and inconsiderate.

The world has a balancing mechanism built in. A lot of those people will never do it because they come from families who would never have brought them into the world without the conveniences that modern society provides them. Hence, the world goes through cycles of war and famine etc. and a lot of those people don't make it and the culture changes. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

She says she needs something sustainable and that’s arrows . Because there’s no ammo store at the cabin the shoots a 15$ arrow into the trees that she purchased from a hunting type ammo store 🤦‍♂️

Violence against animals is the beginning of violence against humans. Therefore, all those who hunt animals have the potential mental ability to harm humans.
