I just finished this today and it was insane! Gemina is still my favorite and I didn't really connect with Asha and Rhys like I wanted to (although the gravity defying hair comments were funny) or like I did with Hanna ans Nik and Kady and Ezra but I still enjoyed it. OH MY GOD THE PARACHUTE PART HAD ME ROLLING!!! I loved it! Also the part with Oshiro at the end I really liked, I was hoping she'd have a redeeming moment towards the end.

Thank you. This is my feelings exactly. This book literally killed me. But I freaking loved it! I agree with you about Asha and her boyfriend, I never really got attached to them at all. I was actually expecting them to die at the end, and I would have been kinda ok with that. I also love AIDAN SOOOO MUCH! I need to know what happens to him! I really, really hope they make a sequel series at some point. Also, was I the only one who kinda shipped Kady and Aidan?

I read Illuminae when it first came out, and somehow didn't continue with the next one. I wanted to throw my book so many times and I am not a violent person but this book and the emotional roller coaster it took me on was intense. I had tears in my eyes many times and the part with Nik and Ezra getting shot down I thought no way. I can't read this anymore and yet I had to know and hoped so bad that this was not happening. Then the parachute (bed sheet ha ha ha)landing in the field had me dying. That was a much needed comic relief moment. This whole book was amazing. In the acknowledgements I noticed they said it was the final book. I had hoped also when I saw Aiden was still alive that it would mean that maybe we would get more. Then I watched a book signing where they said the series is done they just couldn't kill Aiden anymore then they could kill off Ezra and Nik. I guess they needed Rhys and Asha to get the comms but it was kind of a throw away couple. Not one I was completely invested in either. They were meh compared to our other 2 couples. Last thing, how about the sweet end where Kady's dad takes care of Ella and wants to step in as her dad.....I was choked up again. I loved this book so SO MUCH. I was so happy my daughter convinced me to pick this series up and read it. She said "mom please give it 100 pages and ten put it down if you aren't hook." I was hooked and have loved this whole ride. Thanks for your vlog. I loved it and the crying parts. Made you real for those of us who felt the same.

Illuminae wasn't my favorite. Couples that used to be together and realize how much they want to be together under duress annoy me. I was talked into. My one library coworker legitimately put it on hold for me while we had a conversation about it... So I read it on her (and a couple others' recommendations). It wasnt really my jam. I mean, it was good but I didn't LOVE IT. Gemina, however... Yesss. That was my kinda thing. I prefer hate to love romances.

Yes, I really wanted the ending to rip my heart out, but it kinda was like a childrens picture book ending. Not even Katja or Aidan died. Even though I loved all of the characters I expected some major deads for a intense story like this

*spoilers* There are SO many 'deaths' that ended up being flukes. I agree, I didn't want anyone to die but at the same time it would have made the story THAT much more emotional and real. (side note; AIDAN is by far my fav character)
