The woofer isn't a "fake" per se. It's a passive radiator. It's a trade off between a sealed box and a bass reflex port.

I'm doing the same to other device. That's a passive radiator, it allows you to get bass with smaller cabinets

How exactly did you do this? Cus I'm trying to do a similar project on a very different speaker (although it has a similar 2 circuit board layout) with no idea how these things work, do you just circumvent the old aux input
