I have a tip. If you don't want to use your teeth to strip the small wires use a lighter. It doesn't take long to melt the insulation a little. Basically warming up the insulation so it stretches and breaks easily.

Man you make a great tutorial video! You should keep doing more video with this much depth of detail and explaining. It helps a lot. You should do this idea but using the same concept of using a old bluetooth speaker to add this to a portable speaker that doesn't have bluetooth but already has a battery. So basically you'd be adding bluetooth to the portable speaker and hooking it up to the already existing battery from the speaker so all gets charged at the same time. This is what I'm trying to do and why I found your video lol So if you have time to try this I'd be super happy to see this cuz I'm stumped lol

I've figured out how to do this about a year ago and it's just gonna sound distorted. Even with a tiny cheapo your still going from a speaker level to line level. I give you props for the vid though, good job. So as not to be "THAT GUY", just solder or use a female multi pin connector to run a 4.7uf or 10uf capacitor between the + and -. Worked for me on that amplifier board, should work on most of them. Keep ROCK'N! ,🤘👍

Honestly this video is more of an experiment just to see if it works, which it does just not very well because a 3.5mm or RCA input requires a small amount of filtering. If the output is coming from a bypassed speaker there is no filtering. That's why I suggested using a capacitor in parallel between the+ and -. If you are thinking about doing this, just buy a Bluetooth receiver. They're cheap and will do exactly what's in this video without complications. 🤷👍

Should I try wire some speaker wire to the circuit board itself, would that work better? Again thanks 🙏👌👍
@offscreengaming8363 Жыл бұрын
I've done this, tho you may need a bigger battery because the stock battery is made to power a small 8watt speaker at most, so with even hooking it to a system of any sort that requires more power input can bring that battery life from 4hours of play time, down to 10min play time. (From personal experience only, I would wish some people to read this before ruining a speaker without knowing the cons

It works but the sound won’t be clear and you may face some issues in couple hours or days. 1. You hooked high input to a low input 2. You don’t have the ability of the surround sound system because you hooked both left and right RCA together. 3. Don’t forget you have to charge this thing, if you did at the same time as many people will do and both the bluetooth speaker and stereo functioning at the same time you will perfectly ruin this little Bluetooth board, because the stereo system works with higher voltage. last thing great job I very respect the idea. I recommend trying this idea because at the end it’s just a cheap Bluetooth speaker nothing to loose. 5$ and a weird smell of burnt cables.

Hi This is a mono receiver You could put 2 resistors in output
@robertcartier50886 жыл бұрын
Your 3rd objection doesn't make any sense. You seem to be objecting to something that is not even hinted at in the video. If you mean that you cannot charge the Bluetooth device while it is functioning, then you are wrong. If you mean that one should not connect the output wires while leaving the internal speaker connected, then you are right, but only if one does not follow the instructions in the video, which is a useless objection. Sorry, Dude, you should have stopped at 2. ;-) Oh, and your #1 is also technically wrong, there are no instances where an input is connected to another input in this video. But I assume that was just a mix-up. You meant the signal levels don't match, which is true. And last, but not least, no cable will be burning from these still very LOW voltages. If you're smelling burnt cables, you have some other problem that is unrelated to this video.
@jkoz2924 жыл бұрын
Not sure but is this a somewhat amplified signal. Im assuming you cut the wires going to the bluetooth speaker and turned them into a line out output. Guessing it is a 3 watt speaker so it will be safe for line out voltage levels but just making sure I understand what you did?
@DIYmonkey4 жыл бұрын
It is an amplified signal. I just keep the media volume on my phone set at level 1. The tuner I have it hooked up to is a pretty robust, old-school Onkyo. Never had any issues running it this way, despite what the naysayers say.
@matthewmahadeo69973 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. Since the amplified signal is weak it should not cause any explosive amplification problems. But if the input signal was greater like a 30 watt line 6 amp looped into the input of another guitar amp then the amp would blow. Jus curious about keeping your phone volume at 1. Does this mean d output is decreased? In terms of resistance?
