I do knit, crochet, and what is called "knooking" and adding a different color to my knit/knooking was getting me! I couldn't get my colors to line up right in the round. @Meerkatkid14 yes, it is an issue. pull the old color up every few rows, and twist it so it will be at the top when you're ready to use it again. otherwise you would need to cut it and weave it in later.

@strag2001 when you knit on circular needles you are actually knitting one long spiral. use a marker to show the beginning of a row though. have fun knitting. please keep watching and like me on facebook.

Yes, keep pulling the yarn up and twisting it every few rows. That way you don't have to cut it and won't have to weave it in at the end. This will now be added to my list of videos that I need to do thanks to your question. I appreciate it. Happy knitting!

@ThePsssshhhhShow, I found for worsted weight yarn, and using size 4-6 needles...100-120 is good for a beanie. always consider when you want to decide the number of stitches, by if it divisible, such as if you have a knit 3 purl 2 rib, and it decreases to 4 sides, you would want to make sure you choose a number that divides by 5 and 4, like 100. If the pattern is a knit 2 purl 2, you only have to make sure it divides by 4...100 104 108 112 etc

Judy - love this video on knitting with color changes in the round, but I have a problem. I'm making a striped hat in k1p1 ribbing. I've tried to add another color at the beginning of the round after purling the last stitch and tried even adding it after knitting the first stitch in the first color (which means I'm trying to purl the new color in), but I'm ending up with a hole in the work! How in the world do I solve this problem? I would appreciate your help!! Thanks!

Hi, I've got a question. I'm knitting a hat right now on circular needles & it has three colors knit in ten rows for each color (so like knit 10 rows red, knit 10 blue, knit 10 green, repeat over and over). I noticed that on this video, you leave both colors attached & switch between them - would I do the same for my project even though there's more space between the colors than only a row or two? Or do i cut my old yarn & bring it back in later and just have a bunch of ends to weave in? Thanks!

so, when I knit the new yarn in, the first three stitches are basically {holding two as one} and that automatically weaves in my end? I'm REALLY new at this. I want to do it right!!
