Great tutorial, for people starting in the hobby this is a skill that should be practiced as it creates amazing results and pushes painting skill forward. A tutorial without airbrush is great as newcomers wont usually have those tools.

If you are having trouble tracking how light behaves, I found turning off the lights and giving a single light source to the mini helps! Painting in the chiaroscuro. You can also take a picture of the miniature bathed in light and shadow to use it as reference!

Ive been watching osl videos all afternoon. This by far is the best example. Simple, direct, shows the proof. Quick education vs an art lesson. Thank you!! I will be putting my phone down and practicing this immediately. Merry Christmas bud!

If using a metallic paint for chains or metal, I like to use a metallic matching the color to add a subtle shine.

Hi, two questions. Was the model printed with a PLA 3d printer? What parchment paper are you using on your wet palette?

I printed it with a resin 3D printer. For partchment i use Wax paper from the supermarket, had to go through a couple brands before i foun one i liked the most but all of them served their purpose. Hope this helps you
