Thanks Matt. I was a Division 1 football player in the mid 90's and we frequently used electric stim to rehab injuries. Recently I had surgery on my arm and was in a cast up to my armpit for several weeks. So I said what the hell and purchased a cheap unit on Amazon. I stuffed the electrodes under my cast and used it to stimulate my bicep and triceps. I have to say, I believe it significantly mitigated the atrophy. I appreciate you putting out this video. You don't hear a lot of talk about this method anymore.

I find it good for recovery. It's great for tweaks and great to help keep scarring from binding the fibres up.

110% agree on elderly patients. Yes, all the above benefits. Muscle tissue activation after surgery or a pelvic fracture where they may have a month or more without movement, pain reduction through muscles relaxation, (even middle age office workers and weekend warriors). For young adults, find it helps them with mind muscle connection. I have zero experience with its use on strong and healthy athletes or any type of performance application but don't see why it wouldn't have a benefit. Amount of benefit ? I don't know. Certainly for tight erectors spinae or glutes the day after a deadlift day. Warning - for home use or in the hands of someone without experience, it can also cause problems.
