Added low tone horn to stock Mazdaspeed3 horn

Added a low tone, to compliment the stock high tone.
Sounds much better now.

Seriously, your simple but thorough description of the problem, and eventual solution, evoked a hearty guffaw. Well done. I have a sick limp busted horn on my old Madza MPV which needs immediate attention. NO ONE moves when I honk, although I have detected an occasional slight head tilt.

@USSVoyager5 I believe it was the FIAMM Freeway Blaster. I just went to Autozone/Advanced Auto and looked for a generic low tone horn.

You can do it by reaching behind the fender wheel well liner, but you can't really maneuver much. I took off the whole front bumper, so I could see and reach everything. It's not as daunting of a task as it seems.

No it screwed right in if I recall. It's the same bracket that is meant to have both horns, but for whatever weird reason the Speed3 only had one installed from the factory.

Dude so basically the high tone is the low sound and the low tone makes it more noticeable? Basically louder.. I believe I have a hi tone

The high is not very loud and does not have the deep typical horn sound. The low tone is needed to have the complete/typical sound.

All I did was remove two 8mm screws from the plastic undercover and peel it back. No need to remove the bumper.
