I just want you to know that this is the best video I have ever seen of yours! I have been following you for a while and I get so much wisdom and knowledge. I do go to Alanon and my husband does go to AA. We have a son who is currently incarceratedand hopefully he can get sober. Your videos have been a wonderful addition to my recovery program because I know that there is also knowledge to be learned outside of Alanon and I can’t just completely detach from my son. So thank you so much for your healthy sharing and for all that you do!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing a bit of your story with me. I'm truly honored that my videos have been able to provide you with additional wisdom. It sounds like you and your family have been through a lot, and I can only imagine how difficult it must be with your son's current situation. Going to jail is a turning point for a LOT of people. I hope that's exactly the way it works for your son. Here's a link to a video interview I did with someone in that same situation: kzbin.infoJ9jq9h1YM_4 Stay strong, and know that there is always hope.

What does numbing actually feel like? So they take the drug and what they don’t care what anyone thinks? They don’t care that police could catch them driving under the influence? They don’t care if they lose their partner? Meth has really changed my person.

This was so so good. Because sometimes we do think to shake the addiction person up. I can see it more clearly of what the addiction is doing to my loved ones thinking and feeling. Shame- hopelessness Guilt- change is possible.

I've been watching a review of small plane crashes - the lack of awareness and their abilities is staggering - the vast majority of accidents is pilot error they also are not dealing with reality that literally leads to a crash. Someone below said reality is the opposite of addiction that seems like an accurate statement.

22:51 I love you so much Amber- but we are so scared because we are in danger -- living with a volatile alcoholic make it impossible to not

In active addiction can they feel love? Or is that part of the brain for feelings switched off and the affection etc is more manipulation to get what they want?
@PutTheShovelDown2 күн бұрын
Yes, they can feel love, but they will have a hard time being consistently loving. The feeling of love = YES. The behavior of love = sometimes.
