I’ve been sober for about 2 years. Don’t know how many days that is and I don’t care. For me keeping track of the days was a reminder of exactly how long ago I was a fuck up. I believe at a certain point you should just put it behind you and forget about it instead of constantly reminding yourself of your mistakes and white knuckling your way through life.

But in reality sobriety has given him all those things he was looking for when he was getting high. Now he is happy without drugs and alcohol.
@meltingpotmeme61815 жыл бұрын
Negative, if drugs were legal not only would prices be a tiny fraction of what they currently cost. But the ill affects from them would be lessened to such a degree that they would be as easy as antidepressants to get off of and as impacting as a cup of coffee. This is both subjective and factual. Some stances ive never let up on over the years. This is one of them. Good day.

As using other drugs to lessen the withdrawals will only stretch out the detoxing process. I inow 3-4 days can seem like forever when you're actually going through it. But hang in there.. Maybe s sleeping pill at night after the 4th day. But I wouldn't try it much sooner. I've done a medicated detox and a non medicated detox.. The medicated was rapid reduction using Subutex. They gave it yo me 3 times a day for 3 days. She only took it twice a day and 3rd day once. The remainder of the 4 days was them monitoring me. Thst was s pretty easy detox. Although some left after the 3rd day. To go shoot up the subutex, that they were diverting. They must have been doing it tough. To go yo detox yo get drugs...lol. I doubt Brandon will see this but I got arrested last year and left fulton county jail, homeless on christmas eve of 2020. I slept outside in a parking garage before I was picked up by two Georgia tech police officers. I was freezing to death. I had a Shirt pulled over my knees. I wound up back on methadone for 10 days before entering treatment and during that time I watched this video. the similarities were uncanny! We had almost the exact same story of addiction right down to sleeping outside on Christmas eve! I was in tears watching this and entered rehab. I have now been out of rehab for a while and am still active in recovery. I have even taken a couple guys through the 12 steps. I start Monday as a halfway house manager. You have no idea how much this story meant to me brandon. Maybe our paths will cross one day. Trey Hochgertle sobriety date 1/4/2021.

We get waves o panic and doubt and huge NEED for our drug, but remember thats how the disease affects your brain. It still is telling you that you NEED the H like you need water to survive. But try to remember this is what your brain has been mis-WIRED to do. Try to remember those wires have to be fixed and re-wired into a healthy place. Youre still in the process. It sadly takes a while to do, but DONTthrow it all away! You went through the hardest part with the physical withdrawals and now you gotta keep fighting! Youve got this! I really hit rock bottom a few weeks ago. I lost my 3rd job in a row, was in deep tax debt and unemployable. I blamed everything except the fact I drank 20-30 units of alcohol a day. As soon as I embraced sobriety, things have drastically improved. I was having daily panic attacks when I woke up that would last 20 minutes and would leave me exhausted. I now jump out of bed full of energy. I used to throw up every single morning pure bile and acid, now I can actually eat again. If you are struggling, know you are not alone. There are 130m+ alcoholics in the world, and millions of drug addicts. Know you are not your addiction, you will beat it, and you will be free!

I love this. I watched this about 2 years ago and when Brandon's number came up at the end I thought "What the hell... ill call him". Not only did Brandon answer... he spoke with me for an hour or so. Sometimes about recovery... sometimes just shooting the shit... but he made me feel like someone cared. Now over two years later I'm here clean and sober. Thank you Brandon for helping me and taking time out of your life to talk to an alcoholic like me.

That hit me hard too cuz I’ve always used drugs cuz I thought it was helping me from my pain and problems I have but it is all just a trick your mind does and it takes a long time to defeat it.

"Your problem is your thinking and your attitude." I literally wrote it down (along with a few other phrases from the video) cause to be completely honest I'm having difficulty understanding it at the current moment.

My name is Brandon and seeing this video helped a lot today I used to and still do struggle with alcoholism but I just touched 60 days sober yesterday and I’m so blessed I never thought I could make it happen . Sobriety is one of the best things I could’ve done for myself . If your reading this your not alone you don’t have to give up .

"Trying to fill an internal void with an external solution." Oh buddy, you spoke to my soul just then. God bless you, Brandon. You're doing so many great things for others but more importantly, you've done yourself a great service by getting clean and sober and telling your story.

I have been struggling with meth and alcohol addiction. For years. Gave my life to Jesus Christ. Because I know I can't do it by myself.i prayed hard for deliverance. I know the Holy Spirit guides us on how to walk in spirit and truth. He led me to this video. I know from listening I am delivered. Thank you Jesus Christ!!

This video helped me tremendously, and was one of the most eye opening stories to me when I was trying to get sober. I’m revisiting this at 190 days sober. I have NO desire to pick the bottle back up. Thank you so much for sharing your story Brandon. I don’t ever comment on videos, but I am on this to let anyone know who may read this… sobriety is possible. Addiction is a disease, and once you beat it- you realize YOU are in charge of your destiny. For anyone still struggling.. my heart goes to you. It is possible to overcome. Stay strong! I wish y’all luck and happiness in this journey we call life.

My doctor had me watch this video when I was in rehab. This video right here changed my entire life around. Trembling, throwing up every hour, no sleep, restless leg syndrome, diarrhea all the time, no appetite deep dark depression/ suicidal thoughts all of that happening at one time but for some reason this video completely saved me. Thank you Brandon I hope you’re doing well man. One day at a time.
