I discovered this week that I am an addict looking for his addiction. I've been vaping THC, which could end my career where I live and with the job I have, for 2 years every night. Very low amounts, and I never get high. I only have a brain fog, but that's enough for me to sleep or escape my anxiety. Except when it didn't and made my heart race and give me panic attacks. I'm in a 3 week program to help try to deal with my anxiety and depression. I don't truly -believe- I need to go to meetings, as is required of me now :P , but I have gained a lot from the two I've been to so far. I mean I discovered I'm an addict, so that helps haha. Oh and today I told the group that I am grateful that, 3 or so years ago, alcohol just started making me feel like I had a hangover within an hour or two, even just one or so beers. No buzz; no "fun." If it wasn't for this, the trauma I experienced in 2021 that I'm still suffering from heavily might have driven me to drink instead of vape the wimpy amount of THC I could get legally. And my habit with vaping might have become a real problem. I just want to put my disclaimer: I feel so guilty having all these mental issues and feeling terrible and losing more functionality as time goes while people out there have been through so much more. I know it's irrational thinking and everybody deserves to have their serious problems taken seriously, even if they're not as serious as others'. I'm serious! ;P Oof. I didn't realize I was typing so much haha Edit: 4 days sober. It'll probably help to be clear-headed when I'm trying to address my lifelong anxiety/depression

I fell in love and came clean to her about my addiction. From there I got clean, went to college and now I'm in test pilot school. I already have my commercial pilot certification and part time job as a charter pilot paying my way threw school. I have a life I never dreamed I could ever have. Money thought I could never attain. I thank God everyday he hept me from not getting a felony or over dose to death. It's possible. It's hard. But Im willing to battle every day, against my addiction to protect my life and loosing everything we have together today. I want it more than the high now.

So glad youre doing well.

The stuff he said about JACKASS..... Is sooo CRAZY because of the other Brandon's (BAM) dilemma! The series went on without him. It's so sad and it hurts! But like with SteveÖ and Novak!!!.... You GOTTA WANT IT!!! We can just hope and pray that Bam comes through the otherside and makes a clean break! The years if abuse DO catch up to you!!! Its something I'm learning now, though I was out through a WHOLE new set of circumstances that actually disabled me! All the hits my body took before I was in a hit and run by a truck! They're all showing.... and the years that go by will only truly show what I will be battling

I grew up watching CKY, Bam, Novak, the whole crew. Some of the most cherished memories and times of my life were these years growing up. My life followed a path just like Novaks, started with oxycontin, moved onto heroin and then prison, the thing saved my life. I have been out since 2016 and did not look back, sometimes it seems like a different life I lived before prison. No doubt it hasn't been easy, I have had a couple relapses but one thing Iearned is that, I do not want to live that life anymore. I mess up, I get back up and move on, continuing on the right path. I keep working on myself and bettering my responses to hardships so I don't run to the thing that numbed me for so many years. I am have a connection with Novak and so many others that have gone through the addiction of heroin. Thank you for you words Brandon.

I’ve met Brandon through a friend of mine that i haven’t seen in years so not knowing of drug disease or addiction. At a point of time I let my friend and Brandon stay at my home until they were approved for a place well my friend did something disrespectful and kicked him out and told Brandon you can stay while you wait for approval well he choose not to and go with his friend for certain reasons. Well that approval didn’t go through so I call a friend that rents home and the dude approved him right away. In the meantime Brandon was sober or I wouldn’t of allowed him to stay at my home they were working for a Christmas tree company at the time we grew a friendship and watching this brought tears to my eyes. I’m so proud of you Brandon & the last apart really hit my heart so not only can it relate to addiction it can relate to depression which I’m going through right now. That part oh lord hit me hard. I know Brandon won’t see this but thank you man and congratulations on all your success and glad I got to know you in those few months of hanging out and trying to help. God bless you Brandon.

Oh my. Never in my life have I stayed glued to the screen than listening to Brandon talk. I knew some of his history, it went pretty dark for a while. But to say I’m happy he’s doing so well, is the understatement of the year. Happy and proud. I’ve stared at addiction, both in the mirror and in the eyes of loved ones. Every word he says is true. No one but yourself and your higher power, whom ever it might be, can make the change. I can not thank you enough for this video. Stay strong every one, one day at a time.

I used to listen to your story in active addiction and would pray that God would help me like he did you I'd listened to your story over and over again until one day "the pain of remaining the same became greater than my fear of change" that I walked into the rooms of NA and Iv been clean ever since 1/24/2023 is my clean date and I do all you suggest sponsor, service, meetings, and steps. Thank you for showing me it's possible Brandon

I use to go out every weekend but when I found out that I have a fatty liver I had to stop drinking and I'm glad I did. I had a problem a very serious problem if I would've kept going I would be dead before I reached 40. Haven't had a drink since April 16th of this year I haven't felt better. In a way I'm glad it happened it was a wake up call for me to loose weight and stop drinking best decision I ever made.

Recovery takes on many shapes and sizes man. It’s a good day if you didn’t use, and sometimes subs are essential to get us there. You’re still crushing it! Getting off subs is a great goal, and with the right support it’s possible!

No brag, but my life of addiction makes Brandon look like an angel. He does inspire and give me hope. He's an amazing representative for people with the disease that is addiction. I respect what he has to say because he's been there.

Weird thing to brag about. He did 13 rehabs man. The sickness is still unbearable at early stages for many. I’m sure he like many of us was near deaths door. But congrats on keeping it up G

Every addicts thinks their the worst, used more drugs, suffered more, did more rehabs & prisons, been in more mental health wards, lost more than every other addict!! Its part of the disease talking to you still today!!
