Some says that Addictive does sound ok only if we use separate channels and process each one with other eq,compression etc plugins. The Question is, it is really necesarry? For me, it seems that Addictive itself has enough stuff for mixing.
@xlnaudio5 жыл бұрын
It all comes down to preferences, AD2 is made to offer great sounds and allow you to adjust them to your liking, but if you would like to tweak it further with your plug-ins of choice then using the separate outs is definitely a way to achieve that.

Hi, on the EDIT page you should be able to use the "Volume envelope" and then you can also set up the "Cut" for the higher frequency range for the toms. If you would have any further questions about this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our Support team: www.xlnaudio.com/support

@xlnaudio5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there are no cymbal stack samples currently available in any Addictive Drums 2 products. Cymbal stacks can sound in many different ways, but if you have one specific sound that you're after - don't hesitate to send a sound example to our support team. They may be able to help you use the sound design tools in AD2 to create a similar sound to what you're looking for. You can reach support here: www.xlnaudio.com/support

@xlnaudio5 жыл бұрын
Hi! If you look at the Edit-page for each kit piece and select the snare, you can raise the send volume to the reverb effect for the snare(it’s in the middle section-vertically, far right corner), then check the other kit pieces and make sure they aren’t sending any signal to that effect. Have a look and don’t hesitate getting in touch with our support team if you need any further assistance with this: www.xlnaudio.com/support

hey XNL! is there a way to pitch shift the entire kit ?(basically just pitch shift AD2 as a whole).right now ,what i do is compose the break at around 80 bpm,export,load the wav and shift it up to 160.its time consuming and doesnt allow me to make corrections easily ...i want to pitch everything up in real time.(i know since this is a vst thats trying to go for super authentic drums you probably dont have a pitch feature cause it would defeat the purpose.but it would be great for me for early/mid 90s jungle/dnb) do you know of a way?(AD2 is not affected by the the pitch wheel in the reason 10 vst rack)please advise ,thank you (love your vst btw.its the best!)
@xlnaudio6 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I'm afraid thre is no "Master Pitch" in AD2. You can however change pitch of all your individual kit pieces manually and perhaps achieve what you're after. You can also add a pitch plugin after AD2 on your track and see if it works.
@arkhitektz31506 жыл бұрын

Can your software be used for professional radio records without the radio management thinking "they've made this song with vst drums"? Or this is just the demoing tool? Just tell the truth to the audience, please.
@sevchyk3 жыл бұрын
Are there examples of songs made with Addictive drums 2 and put on the radio? Name them. By the way, although there are lots of hi hats, the most realistic of them is Iveson.The rest are a little crippled. It's hard to use any hi hats other than Iveson for fast runs in 16th notes.
@xlnaudio3 жыл бұрын
Well, the truth is you can’t tell, because a good chunk of the songs you hear on the radio - and have been for the past 10 years - is made with Addictive Drums. It’s not just a demoing tool - even though it’s easy to demo ideas with. And more cases than not, they end up being the master drums as well. Addictive Drums can be heard on hits from everyone from Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5 to Katy Perry and Arina Grande. Its used on toooons of Hip Hop and RnB too. Try it!
@sevchyk3 жыл бұрын
@@xlnaudio I'm interested more in the acoustic side of these drums and songs. Of course I understand that the result depends mostly on manipulating the tools but not the tools itself. However, some experienced people tell me that the raw quality of samples must be high. I found such rawness in Modo Drum, and use it. The drawback of Modo Drum is the fact that some snares sound like hitting a bucket with a stick. Despite this, they sound quite appropriate for fooling everybody into thinking that it's the real drums. I also read about Mixosaurus (do you know it?), some people think that these are the most realistic vst drums in the world till this day. So, I need to know a single acoustic/pop/rock song, where the kick, the snare and the hi hats of Addictive Drums are heard. If it's a hit, then it's better, but doesn't matter too much. Can you name it? I'm pretty sure that you have some feedback from the people from the music industry such as "we used your drums successfully in this song". So name a song or two.
