Adding 3M Clear Protection Vinyl Along Door Edge (Scion tC2 / tC2.5)

I install clear protection vinyl on my door edge to protect it and other cars. I trimmed a 6" wide roll to size, but there are rolls that are already 1/2". I wasn''t happy with the reviews I saw for them, but I'll link it below in case there's a change.

I just came across your channel and I think it’s pretty cool someone’s posting videos specifically for the tc, helps out a lot. I was wondering if you have a video on how to remove and replace the sunroof motor? I’ve been wanting to replace mine since it recently died on me but can’t find any video specifically for the tc

Get a scan tool or take it to the dealer to see if it's the motor or the switch. I can open mine with a high quality scan tool using sunroof motor test function but the switch doesn't work lol.

I don't have a guide for that yet, but you should test and make sure it's not the switch first.

@@VampyreX13 I’ve tested it the switch works fine, the motor itself died after I tried opening my sunroof one day and hasn’t moved since.

@@marvyn_wez I may try that, I know for certain the switch still works but the motor itself died on me after my last use with it unfortunately.

Do you know how to remove the bash bar? I cant figure it out and i dont want to mess it up.

Do you mean the actual metal bumper under the bumper cover? I can't remember how the front it attached (I think it's welded), but the rear is just bolted on and easy to remove.

does 3m comes on colors just white?

No, and this is clear, not white. It will work with any color.

Lol! It's definitely worth doing though, especially if you're lowered. I've had the passenger side door scrape the curb a few times since I filmed this, and the vinyl took all the damage each time. I've replace it at least once on that side.
