Adding coolant to a 2007 Honda Accord V6. Not a flush or replacement of the fluid, just adding some. I suspect that maybe the car got very hot and it actually overflowed.

Thanks, this was helpful. Is it normal for the expansion tank to be low, but the radiator to be full?

Please excuse my dummyness, but why does op wag his finger at the caps but then unscrews them later in the video?

He says don’t open when hot. Wait until vehicle has not been driven for 12+ hours. He opens the caps the next day after the vehicle has cooled.

i’ve always put it in the white overflow tank.. but friends of mine always tell me to put it directly into my radiator? does it make a difference (my fans don’t work also😂)

Note, if you want to save $20, do not buy 50/50 coolant. Buy the pure coolant (typically $2-3 more than 50/50) and buy distilled water from a local grocery store. They both should be the same amount (1 gal) and viola, you have 2 gallons of coolant when you mix them together. Do not use regular tap water. Minerals/ions from tap water can corrode the engine.
