I'm just curious as to why you needed so many inverters and batteries. I can understand the batteries (you can never have too many batteries) but 3 18Kpv inverters will provide 150 amps at 240 VAC. That's 36 kilo watts. What are you running that needs that much current? Yes, I know the standard house has a 200 amp service but you almost never need that.

A few reasons which I will go into more detail about in the next video recap of project. 1. The manual states the configuration for batteries is 1-18k per 3powerpro batteries. 2. For the load to be not maxing out the inverters all summer long. 3 redundancy is king when you are going fully off grid

For the diagram the easiest way to think of it is that the fire alarm relay has two connections to the RDS wiring those two wires should just be spliced into either one of the wires feeding into the button

I actually repurposed an outdoor receptacle cover I just had to trim the inside a little (2mm on each side) to slide the button through. I got mine at my local electric supply company. But Lowe's/home Depot would have them too

I'll prob win with the dumbest question, but how long would the off grid power last in the winter?

I'm in the dead of winter and had back to back heavy overcast and rain for about 5-6 days and I couldn't get the batteries below 45% based on limited amount the solar would recoup in the daytime. I over paneled and built the batteries for roughly 7 days of 'autonomy' which is shorter cloudy winter days. So I made it through without any need to go back to grid so I'm guessing the short answer is indefinitely

Also is there a specific place the inspector wanted the rsd button?

It is basically clearly visible and outside the array boundary. Look up "NEC 690.12"

Do all battery breakers shut down? If yes how do they flip back up when you reset the rsd button

The battery breakers can do that but it would be an additional wiring configuration. I do not have mine set for that, and mostly because of the fact I'd have to flip back all of the breakers 🤣

I was thinking I might get to that point but I'm not 100% sure yet. That was the original intent I just don't want to have to keep the side grills off to flip all of the breakers 😂
