This pell drill teaches you how to create other drills to better all aspects of your fighting by breaking things down in stages. This one focus heavily on how to have superior footwork for all the situations you train for in SCA Heavy Combat.
The idea behind this method of training is to try and perfect a situation and then try to prepare and train for as many other situations as you can think of by creating other drills and practicing each of those stages. This builds an amazing amount of confidence within yourself as well as taking a lot of the thought out of it when you're out there swing stick.

Sir You talked about being off center with your opponent so that they are more on your shield side. I fight A-Fran center grip. Would you recommend that for me as well? Thank you Lord Isaac Rous Kingdom of Meridies

Jason Wilson off sides is always a good idea. for a center grip I stand with my shield shoulder about even with the center of their body. of course your shield might be a different shape, but the idea is to make use of angles, so your body is protected as much as it can be without you moving.
