At this SCA heavy combat practice I work my my Squire Eirny doing drills and training. We work on how to cover distance. When your opponent steps in you step into them. The next drill we work on is crossing the plain of the knees without corkscrewing your opponent. It is a clearing method that keeps you safe while disengaging from your opponent while they are legged.
You get to see the process of a knight working with their squire before they engage in helmet time. So they can full practice what they just learned during drills and training at an SCA heavy combat practice.
Eirny and I were on the extreme left side of the field. I had to zoom way in to capture this training episode. So the quality is not the usual 4k due to the zoom.
I hope this video helps you become a better fighter during your helmet time at sca heavy combat practices. Stay tuned for more medieval combat training technique videos in the future! Thank you for your time today! =)
