I just slimed my Z10, it took about 10 minutes! I just watched this video beforehand and followed the steps. Thanks Marty! I feel much better about riding around Taiwan now!

Hopefully it works as good for you as it's been for me. Thanks.

@@ElectricUnicycles, I was able to get the original brass extension and it worked great, I just used it and needle nose pliers. Ninebot shouldn't have changed to the plastic hose. It's useless!

Had a flat on my z10, after plugging it it still has a minor leak. Just applied Slime to the mix in the hopes that it will fix it. Your video was very helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make it! Much appreciated!

I put ~3-ounces in mine.

how much weight did that add?

there are portable bike pumps with removable extenders built in which is a great way to ajust tire pressure on the fly. I have to ask though one z10 rider to another what is the deal with the valve extender that comes with the z10?? how can you get it on if you cant screw it through the hole.. EDIT i just watch your tire pressure vid and left a comment i didnt realize you didnt get one..

He has one of those pumps. I do too. I got one via his recommendation.

I'm bout to do this for my Z10. Thanks for making the video. I notice you are using the slime "called emergency repair" rather than "prevent and repair", do you know if that makes a difference? Presumably the latter is more appropriate in this case when you don't yet have a puncture. Also, it looks like you are using the slime designed for cars. They sell seperate labels products for bikes/dirtbikes/wheelbarrows. Do you know if that makes a difference?

I am thinking of using this one: shop.slime.com/collections/tube-and-tubeless-sealants/products/8-oz-slime-tubeless-bicycle-sealant?variant=46028076040

@@SamClegg That one looks great. Slime recently came out with new-and-improved formulations. I don't think that was available when I did mine. Some people say it doesn't really matter. I'm certainly no expert, but I'd use what you just found. BTW, here's a thread from the Forum where one guy fixed his Z10 puncture with Slime. He used a even a different version of Slime - so they probably all work to varying degrees: forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/11227-so-how-do-i-repair-a-tire-puncture-in-the-z10/ The Slime in my punctured ACM2 tire finally took, and the tire is now holding air. Sure beats replacing the tube.

Do you still recommend the slime on this date?
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
I'm still using it. Put Slime in my latest wheel (Tesla V2 - June 2020) and I had a flat within a week of owning the wheel. Slime repaired the puncture and the tire has been holding solid pressure for over a month. Armor-Dilloz appears to be a superior product (but much more expensive). I have not used it yet.

Hi Marty, which do you prefer a Z10 or Gotway monster?

Those wheels are apples and oranges. I enjoy them both, but I get a lot more use out of the Z10.

How do you determine the amout. I want to add tire seal to mine
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
The EUC community has arrived at the amount to apply through experience. Generally, 3-4 ounces in 14-16 inch wheels. For the 22-inch Monster and Z10 I put 8-ounces. For the large 19-inch MSX tire I put 6-ounces. Hope this helps.

Anyone have any idea of how thick the rubber is on the tire? Thicker rubber would deal with broken glass a little better... I guess no cap for the valve apparently....
@SamClegg6 жыл бұрын
Lack of valve cap is a little strange yes
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
If would not be very fun trying to deal with the cap considering the limited access to the valve.
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
I don't have any numbers, but it gives you the impression of being tough rubber. Probably has to be thicker since it's tubeless.

it would had been hard to fetch that valve stem needle in your housing, had you dropped it w/ your needlenose... good job!
@altabaddon19866 жыл бұрын
how often do you replace it? i saw a mention of a limited lifetime in the one you are using around 3 months, and a comment from manufacturer mentioning using the blue formula instead (2 years lifetime) shop.slime.com/collections/prevent-and-repair-tire-sealant i think replacing this would be hassle.. maybe fill the tire with water in the same way, emptying with some mini pump, repeating..as they say the slime dries up in a few months, what do you think? and thank you for the videos, very helpfull
@ElectricUnicycles6 жыл бұрын
From my experience, Slime lasts years. Many people use it in their EUC wheels and I know of no one who has had a problem. I had to replace a tube after about year for other reasons, and the Slime inside showed zero signs of drying out. Slime is just being conservative when they say it lasts 2-years. Just like food that you buy - it doesn't magically go bad once the expiration date arrives.

The rubber and metal receiver INDIDE the tire popped out when I tried to unscrew the air pump form the valve stem. That wouldn't be TOO big a deal, except for the Nonebot 10z had literally the worst, most stupid, least well thought through design for access to the air filler in the history of industrial design. I hate the company, I hate the machine, and I swear to God, I would never by anything from Ninebot or Segway ever again for their having inflicted this thing on the world. I cannot overstate just home much I hate everything associated with them right now.
