From what I understand, Trump's team had asked for a stay to give his team a chance to present their argument on how the gag order would unfairly limit Trump's political speech. Yet, while she was considering his request he WENT AND PROVED WHY IT WAS NECESSARY. Thus it was reinstated.

It was likely strategic in Judge Chutkan’s part. She is showing she is giving due deference to the defendant’s first amendment rights, while asking both parties to brief or argue why he should or should not remained gagged. That way she can uphold the gag after giving the defendant the chance to argue against it, also giving him the rope to hang himself by being awful while it’s stayed, and ultimately making her decision much stronger and less likely to be over turned on appeal. @@maxj0930 - The phrase is “firing on all cylinders”, not “hitting”. Cylinders should never have things hitting inside, hence why what you said isn’t a saying. (An interference engine design has the valves open in to the path of the piston, but is timed to only open when the piston position is at its furthest point from the valves. If your timing chain jumps a few teeth, then your piston can make contact with the open valve and cause a lot of damage.)

I have a little paper cutout of Trump wearing clown makeup and an adorable tiny cowboy hat that I glued to the end of the popsicle stick. And whenever I start getting upset at what he's saying I just put that over his face and it really helps put things in perspective. One of these days I hope to get a tiny speaker installed in it that will play that 'doot doot doodle-doot' clown music whenever I hold it up, that'll really finish the picture.
