I think you are the kind of Cc that is needed in any Gacha Space. You love WuWa but you did not worship Kuro as if they can't do wrong; your takes are also plausible, grounded and level headed; and also you not only are not afraid to call out the toxic positivity in the community and criticize the game in good faith; but also that you take criticism and self reflect as well. Most importantly, you don't get into that Gacha Game Tribalism mentality. If anything I think WuWa community is fortunate to have a Cc like you around.

And suggest reasonable solutions, it shows you care about the game and not just criticizing for the sake of it, or for the sake of views. Reasonable solutions = solution possible for the devs to do, that doesn't decrease too much their player retention or income, aiming for balance.
@IronMic-q4lАй бұрын
lol we've all seen what happens to anybody that tries to do that. They get harassed by the WuWa CC collective pretty badly and pushed out of the community or forced to change their stances in order to have any standing with the games community.

Nah man, your videos are fine and real, keep it up, my suggestion is that instead of talking about nitpicks, talk about more important problems. I myself wrote so many suggestion in the survey that it passed the 3000 words limit.
@MrGoodra172 ай бұрын
I honestly prefer harmless nitpick over blind praise. At least, with the first, we can have more discussions and find ways to make things better, while also fighting the over the top toxic positivity that is going around this community. If you don't like something, it's fine to say it, as long as it doesn't have blind hate behind it, which obviously you don't.
@Gheniel_2 ай бұрын
I rewatched the video and you seem genuine about not having bad intentions, so let me tell what I really think. I think the way you comunicate your critiques towards wuwa attracts more doomposters than genuine wuwa players who care about the game. I think if you improve the way you comunicate those critiques and make suggestions of solution to these problems in the game during your critique videos, it will attract more genuine players who know the game has flaws and wants it to improve, bringing more critical thinking into the discussion and civilized agreements/disagreements.

Excellently put, I agree with you. One thing I've noticed in the livestreams is there are a few people who come in, and seemingly try their damnedest to get Fox wound up purely for their own enjoyment. Your garden variety, basic trolls if you will. Once they've achieved what they want, they turn it around on him as if it's HIS fault, and I'm not down with that. It pisses me off to see a kind-hearted soul get jerked around like that. Sometimes I gotta dip out until I think they've gone away because if I stayed I guarantee I'd say some truly stupid shit that'd get me in trouble, lol.

For my part, you've never broken my trust, therefor there is nothing to earn back. Personal growth is one of the keys to life, and without it we stagnate. I think you're headed in the right direction, but also don't bend over backwards too much. The KZbin game can be vicious, cruel, and thoughtless at times, and it's incredibly important to not allow yourself to be drowned in the mire of other peoples' perception of you. I've personally seen the shift in your demeanor to be more positive, and that's a good thing. At the same time I think some people just can't handle criticism in any form, and take it as a personal attack. One of the many things I've learned is you can't give offense. It can only be taken, and you have no control over that. The best you can do is maybe be cordial about it, but it's also ok to stand firm in your opinions. A lot of people will shout disrespect this, and disrespect that, but respect is a two-way street, and must be earned.

No game is perfect but we still want games that we love to be the best that they can be, it's why the WuWa devs are listening and also wanting to just make the game as best as they can make it too. I certainly want the game to be the best it can be. I love WuWa and I admit is has flaws, but it's a good showing and the devs are still trying to make it better as time goes on.

Nah man, you're fine. I feel you in reggards on wuwa's community becoming Genshin 2.0, i feel that some people has to know that for the game to keep being great we need to stop glazing the game unnecessarily and attacking everyone who disagrees with said glaze. (Like happened to you) I really love this game too and hope for it to be even more successful in the future. Keep up the good work Fox!

i did assume that the reason behind the nitpicks were to avoid becoming a genshin like community. For what its worth there are a few takes of yours i would disagree strongly but iam old enough to respect other peoples taste instead of arguing or debating (something people nowadays dont differentiate). i would say that as long as you're being constructive about something, whether negative or positive, you should be good. blind praise or just constant negative feedback will never be conducive to a game and how it should grow, often leading to stagnation and complacency. people are always going to have a kneejerk reaction to criticism of their favorite game, it's how it always will be. wuwa has a lot of people hoping for it to be successful, whether they want it for good or bad reasons. i think taking people's opinions into consideration is fine but don't do it at the detriment of developing your own opinions. if you want to make lengthier videos so you can expand upon your views, that's always welcome. one thing you can do is per every critique, you create praise for it in order to find balance. wuwa doesn't really have a lot of content outside of drama baiting, leaks, or "why wuwa is better than genshin" videos, which keep me from really interacting or wanting to engage in discussions, and doing your best to separate yourself and be more organic about yourself and your opinions is welcome. i appreciate that you're not drama farming.

I think adding disclaimers for you would do the job. Criticism is alright and your points always make sense. Sticking to the script would also help! I love Wuwa as much as you do and I never felt "upset" by your opinions. I think Wuwa's content is sometimes too positive too.

You are doing okay - The major issue I got with your content is you beating around the bush. I mentioned that in one of your earlier videos that you need to condense your opinion in a smaller package instead of talking about one detail 5 minutes long without getting to a point.

i'd just say keep at it fox, if you get the right people who understand and want that change too, then people can see about getting kuro to make those changes that would benefit everyone. the people who just want to feel offended is probably offended by anything.

I didn’t expect that. You know I’ve always had this or that part of a video to criticize in the comments, but I didn’t find anything to get mad about and stop watching. Well, if you think you can change your comment for the better overall (not just “I’ll say less negative things”), then that’s a win-win.
@Gheniel_2 ай бұрын
Criticize, but suggest reasonable solutions.
@sylviagerlach25792 ай бұрын
Basically, it's OK to criticize. Even harshly. That's why I watch your videos. To get a different perspective on things. I just think that these exclusively negative videos are damaging to the game. Potential players who are doing their research also stumble across them and then maybe think, oh, that's all rubbish. I think you should always list the good and excellent things too. And not in separate videos, but in the same video. For every bad thing, name a good thing. Otherwise it really becomes a bit one-sided. For example, I found your analysis of the 1.3 story really off. Even if you didn't like it personally, you can't hide the fact that we got a visually absolutely breathtaking story. Not only that. It involved us and challenged us. You can certainly criticize the narrative style. But you also have to praise what was absolutely fantastic. Oh, I hope you understand what I mean. Just add to the "that was shit"...."but that was fantastic"

It's easier to show what is bad in wuwa rather than what is good. I mean look: Good: Combat Animations, Character designs...Aaaand it's done. Bad: Music, Story, Events, Endgame, Gacha, Rewards(yes, you've been fooled), Combat mechanics, World, Optimization, Sound design, Progression... They still have a lot of works to do, I wanna see what this game becomes in one year, right now it's toooooo undercooked.
@sergito_452 ай бұрын
I find it genuinely curious that you still keep up with a game you think is bad in nearly every way. Why stick around? I mean, I'm here because I enjoy its strengths and I know it will keep improving as we have already seen, but if you’re only seeing issues, what's keeping you interested?
@lozadapaulienjames55442 ай бұрын
Music and Story is understandable, but Gacha and Rewards? Now that's intriguing. I wish to see your reasoning behind these thoughts.
@alreadyd1d2 ай бұрын
I'm sorry, but that sounds like an outdated take from 1.0. Music currently is great, especially in Black Shores. Story wasn't bad at all since 1.1. Events are improving more and more, and are very helpful resource-wise as well. Saying that Gacha is bad is a straight up bs, since it's better than the standard of the industry. Rewards being bad is also bs. Nothing to even discuss here, really. World being bad? In what reality? Optimization isn't the greatest, but it's improving with each update. Sound design? Lol, what? Since when is that even an issue? Progression is typical, so calling it bad is a stretch. Acting like WuWa only has 3 good things is extremely disingenuous. What about the QoL and dev's responsiveness to feedback? How about the presentation in the story, with well-done unique animations and interactive segments? How about the traversal? How well-balanced the characters are? Character quests? Visuals? Just say that you are a hater, no need to hide it.
@sergito_452 ай бұрын
@@alreadyd1d yeah his points aren't even worth debating, it is either someone that only played 1.0 or a hater in disguise, and in both cases I wonder why is he still around
@alreadyd1d2 ай бұрын
@@sergito_45 hate watchers, probably. Same goes for those liking comments like that. A straight up downplay of the game and everything Kuro have accomplished in a relatively short timestamp, nothing even close to fair, well thought criticism. That's the kind of audience any WuWa criticising channel like Fox can attract, unfortunately.
