It's a common thing people wonder in the gacha space since a lot of gacha games' have "expiring" characters before even their first rerun, you can see that in zzz ellen got powercrept this patch , didn't even get her rerun to lose her value, and most units in honkai star rail got powercrept before their 1st rerun too

It's not aggressive bc there still isn't many options to choose for each element. Once they move to next gen 5* we are bound to feel it as it's the best way to sell new characters. Plus competitive end game content is still kinda lacking in wuwa to notice(not hate, I love game, but it's still has much more to bring, as current ToA alone will suffice just for now and will get irrelevant once they increase roaster of character)

​@@mroxkral7276Wuthering Waves is still young enough that I don't think powercreep is yet in play, at least among featured 5* characters. Glacio is the only element that doesnt have a featured *5 main DPS resonator, but Carlotta will be filling that role. After that, Kuro really should start filling out more specialized/niche supports because I don't like how Shorekeeper is the best support for almost every team. It hurts in terms of team diversity. Maybe once Wuthering Waves has reached its 1 year anniversary we will start to see some power creep among featured 5* characters.

My plan is to prioritize getting Carlotta before essentially getting Zhezhi as a premium Jinhsi battery. If I get lucky on those pulls, I'll pick up a dupe of Jinhsi on the back half of the patch. Roccia doesn't really appeal much to me, and I'm not super into Camellya's playstyle (Sanhua will do for her in my case), so Roccia is an easy skip for me.

I mean, you said it yourself: there will always be a new DPS to use. Points is, this is a gacha. They have to keep coming up with new stuff. We have yet to get a new Spectro DPS. I assume we may get one after Rinascita. Then we will see if Jhinsi is viable still. But for now? She will definitely carry people. Question is: do you absolutely need her? Nope. Always follow the rule of cool. If you think the character is awesome, then pull. If not, then skip. Meta is secondary. Team building is tertiary. First and foremost, pick stuff that you dig. If you dont get full points in events, who cares? You got the character you wanted and you played with him or her. Thats all that matters.

I'm prioritizing Zhezi. I need to pair her with jinhsi to free yinlin to make another team with xiangli or calchurro (i have both built). Camelya is doing good for now with sanhua so i guess i'll try going for carlotta if i don't get spooked by the furry or a third calchudo. Thanks for the video, you helped me make up my mind. You'll eventually get someone to pair with them in the future. If not, like someone has said roccia is a solid choice and would make your camelya team really strong.

I use Mortefi S6 with Jinshi. I don‘t have Zhezhi so I don‘t know whether Zhezhi or Mortefi do more coordinated attacks for Jinshi. But Mortefi did very well until now so I don‘t think you have to get Zhezhi unless you like her 😅

I pulled several Zhezhi copies because she seemed like a great sub-DPS. Now I rarely bring my DPS into the fight. Zhezhi doesn't do HUGE damage bursts, but she does dish out frequent medium AOE damage at long range.

Jinshi is one of the best dps ..... If you are willing to do enough investment on her . In terms of claymore we don't have any good options other than her sig and jiyan sig . And in terms of teammates to play her in hard endgame content you need verina as a must and zhezhi 90 percent of the time . But carlotta on the other hand maybe isn't a strong dps as jinshi is but her best in slot teammates now are yang yang and baizhi .and not to mention the amount of investment jinshi needs you can get sequence of carlotta to maximize her . In the end if you like jinshi go for jinshi but also have in mind the she needs a lot of investment.

@gwanetayla7683 jinshi damage at s0 is going to be higher then any dps in s0 and many even in s3 expect camellya . But the jinshi team comp is restrictive . That's what I meant to say and to maximize her potential you need characters like verina and zhezhi . And her signature is the only good claymore aside from jiyan sig. But that's not the case with carlotta. She is going to do a lot less damage . As of now we don't know much about it but . She is easier to build with you can use Shorekeeper or verina or baizhi . You can use yang yang , zhezhi or sanhua her option of teammates doesn't affect her overall damage much . She also has a standard weapon with a crit stat . That's why carlotta might be a better and easier option for many. And I didnt say we can max carlotta sequestration rather then investing on jinshi . But getting carlotta s1 to max her potential is way better than trying to get jinshi , zhezhi and jinshi weapons . Offcourse the damage is going to be less compared but you don't need to oneshot the enemy all the time for you to play this game . And when we get to the point of jinshi s2 or s3 . At that point considering the total cost you can basically get a s4 or s6 carlotta . Camellya s1 , s2 and s6 are all really great and that's a reason why she does more damage when done vertical investment higher than any characters including jinshi .

Jinshi is the most priority for me for beginners, because she is a NUKER type, means she deals a lot of damage in a single hit, but must paired with YuanWu to make his concerto energy faster, also you must include Shorekeeper or Verina. After I get Carlotta (For sure) I will go directly to Jinshi to make her S3 to make his DPS much faster, because it will take less time for her kit to be used. I wish they wont release Carlotta and Jinshi at the same time for me to save more Asterite. I am sitiing at 15k and 30 Radiant tide without buying more at the shop using Afterglow Coral.

I am very perplexed at the moment and ask for help. Now i'm really wondering who I would pull whether to Roccia, Jinhsi or Carlotta which so far i really like her gameplay. I have zhezhi S0 and I don't know if it would pay to wish for jinhsi and her weapon. I also have camellya and her dedicated weapon and she is pretty well built. and I still don't know when Phoebe is supposed to come out and i'm reallyyy obsessed about her and if it turns out she will be main DPS it would be my must pull. unfortunately I only have about 70 wishes put away. im f2p and I cannot clear all the content yet.

So i have yinlin ,rover,calcahro,short keeper ,jianxin as 5 stars .....what do you guys think i should pull ? Also i have jiyans weapon on calcahro and yinlin signature weapon , standard 5 star sword on rover ....rest other have 4 stars .... So what should i save for ?

i mean you do have it kind of scuffed tbh but, you could go for Jinshi and make an f2p cordinated team with Yuanwu and shorekeeper or Yuanwu and Taoqi. Then Roccia is not good for the charcters you have, we will have to see what Carlotta's best teams are and tbf most of the time Zhezhi is goign to be on them, i mean we don't know if she will have restricted teams like Jinshi does, so you will have to wait until she gets fully relased and not rely on leaks. I'm assumin you use Calcharo, Yinlin and Shorekeepr as one team and Havoc rover, Danjin and maybe jianxin as another? If i was you id get Jinshi and her weapon, if you're on your 50/50 or not enough asterites just go for Jinshi and slap Jiyan's weapon on her. i do about 350k with shorekeeper and yinlin on her. with Jiyan's weapon, but ovbiosuly with good echoes. If you do the f2p team, then you'll have 3 teams which decently free for ToA.

it's preference....Carlotta(5* Character)/Jinhsi(6*Character Magistrate )deals more damage with Resonance skill damage with the outro buff of Zhezhi.

Hey! I don't have Jinshi's weapon and Zehzei. Who should I go for? I need Brant in 2.1. I cannot clear all the content yet. My next Character is guaranteed because I lost 50/50 on Camellya banner. I use Yuhwu with Jinshi (s1) using the lunar cutter. I am f2p

Mortefi S6 works very well Jinshi. Maybe you have him at S6. Wuwa is game that prioritizes Main DPS. In my opinion, Jinshi’s weapon > Zhezhi. You have lots of pulls in 2.0 and 2.1 so don’t worry too much

Yuanwu is in a weird spot. Because Mortefi S6 > Yuanwu S6 because of the 20% atk buff at S6 from Mortefi is superior

Pull zhezi, she's much better than yuanwu. unless you have lumi then you can go lumi+yuanwu then pull for jinhsi weapon and save your guaranteed for brant.
