The Adelaide Crochet Beanie features rounds of beautiful Suzette Stitch and half double crochet in the third loop. The texture is wonderful! Welcome to week two of the wonderful hats crochet along! Skill Level: Intermediate
Gauge: 17 sts x 16 rows of sc = 4 inches
Finished Size: 9 x 9 inches laid flat, 20-22 inch circumference.
Yarn: Impeccable by Loops & Threads ® (100% acrylic; 285 yds/260 m; 4.5oz/127.5 g; (4) Medium/worsted weight): 1 ball per beanie.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

Could I theoretically make the ribbed section twice the width so it could be folded up? I really want to make this hat and the matching scarf, but I prefer beanies with a folded rim. I guess I'd have to keep the join on the "right side" so that it's hidden when folded.

When you started crocheting the body of the hat after the brim it didn’t look like you started crocheting in the third stitch, it looked like you started in the joining stitch of the previous row. Is that correct?

Looked like third loop to me. First one was into the third loop of the joining stitch

Your written pattern for round 18 is incorrect. It says scdc skip scdc skip then sc2tog. But your video is saying scdc skip scdc sc2tog. I rarely watch videos anymore and I repeated that row at least a dozen times thinking I just sucked at following the directions, haha.
