Adele learned a lesson from watching Amy Winehouse and how she was pushed relentlessly to tour. Good for her to refuse to become a cog in the machine, and instead be the one pulling the levers. Too many artists are abused by management and promoters to the point of destruction. Adele is a rare bird, and we all should applaud her self-protective stance in an industry which often is careless with performers.

It's weird to think that an artist is allowed to have that much freedom on her level of output. Just goes to show how much money she makes the record company. So many bands and musicians have suffered burnout over the decades and released some clangers because of their contracts making them rush the creative process.

There's a difference between the celebrities who love being famous vs the celebrities who love their craft and do the necessary promotional gigs, then go back to live their life in private. Adele is the latter. She loves and appreciates being able to have an incredibly successful career in music, because she gets to do what she loves and live a great lifestyle and provide for her family. She's legit talented, her music is great and I think her success makes sense. However she's not a fan of the fame aspect. She's said that before in a different interview. And I appreciate her even more for that 💖 Sure, she could also be an introvert. However the fame aspect isn't something all famous ppl like, but it's a necessary evil if they want to be mainstream successful.

Because of her undeniable talent she doesn't need to constantly be popping up in media everywhere, because we will still remember about her thanks to her amazing creations. That's so much more valuable than talentless people being constantly creating a fuss around themselves just to attract attention so that their work gets hyped up way too much. I think Adele's strategy is brilliant and much more sustainable long-term. Everyone has their own work-recharge cycles in life, somebody needs a few days, some others need years. Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov could not compose for months or years as they dealt with their personal struggles and needed to recharge as well. It IS a healthier approach, in my personal opinion. Hustle and constant productivity might be a vicious thing, a trap, to many people, it's not for everyone. So yeah, I get what Adele's saying so well.
