Hi Luke I have to say I am seriously amazed at your looping skills, I have been a Muso for 30 yrs playing solo in South Africa in five star hotels and have always used backing tracks, just recently I applied for ship work and was told no tracks as a solo artist only loop station and live work. Well hence the new challenge. I have a RC30 but am wanting the RC300 it looks way better. I have watched every one of your videos and have to tell you that your work is amazing and inspiring, so thank you for that. Would you help me with something please. I play Hello in Am no capo. Have you got your looper set up that certain tracks record say one bar and then the others do like 4 bars etc, as not being able to see your feet all the time I get confused how many bars you have done and what's on each track. I know I sound confused which I am😀 but it's all new to me and beat boxing is very hard at this star but getting there. Maybe you could explain what's on each track please. Wallace

Hey Wallace!! Cheer man! I've never used tracks but they seem appealing. I've never used the RC-30 so I don't know what it's capabilities are but with the RC-300 you ARE able to separate tracks so that one is longer (or shorter) than the others. The only thing with that is, the timing is no long linked up (loop sync). For Example...Track 1- is set to be free from the other two tracks, its called "Single Track Play". I can play something there that will be longer than the others like you mentioned BUT like I said as well... it's not going to be lined up with the other tracks tempos, so you just have to be right on time when you get that one started. Watch my cover of "Wherever I Go" by Onerepublic and you will see that I did something like this. As for my "Hello" cover Its just 4 bars of capo on 2 Bm, D, A, G. And then everything else is done over top of that, on their respective tracks. If you watch the video you can see what I am putting on each track but it is all done over those 4 bars! Easy man! great cover.,..great use of the rc300....one question...do you go straight to your daw or do you go into an audio interface ? and do you monitor from the rc 300 directly or from the audio interface ? just some problems i have with trying to record.. :D

Hey Man, Thanks! I just go straight from my looper into my computer/garage band via a 1/4 inch to 3/8 in connector (so it can go into the aux input). I use my computers headphone out for a monitor. I do that so I know what it will actually sound like on the recording (like if I am clipping or recording stops... etc...). Cheers man, happy recording.
