I think a lot of you mistake effort for tension, and mistake effort to generate a full on chest coordination as pushy and think the constricted heady tones has ease. it is fake ease.. Her upper belts where superior because her coordination was superior. Anyone that is able to be comfortable with so much chest core that high is far a higher soprano than singers who are already getting all heady and twangy at C5/D5.. anyways. the equation is simple the more chest sound you can bring to a belt the more difficult it is and the higher the soprano. This is factual because if that same singer decided to lighten and brighten their tone, they will sing even more higher set but that was not her sound.. The belt in the way it was intended by operatic tenors was to be majorly, a chest sound with a lot of effort.. brightening it up most times is no longer a belt. I see a lot of singers even use masked forward falsetto and people scream and say oh, he belts high, she belts high. no they are not belting. A belt is a chest function

Adele vs Beyoncé is a much more fair vocal battle in my opinion because with Whitney in the mix too, it's far to easy for Whitney to be declared as the better vocalist because she clearly was. The ONLY 2 vocalists that gave Whitney a run for her money in a prime day's were Celine and Mariah. I don't know why anyone talks about this but Adele's singing resembles so much of Etta James' singing. I remember Adele talking about how Etta James changed her singing from pop to soul and when I heard that it all clicked in my head. Whitney Houston, melhor cantora do mundo. Se não são CANTORAS SUPREMAS como Mariah Carey, Céline Dion, Aretha Fraklin e entre outras cantoras de mesmo nível (STAR), não adianta ter essas comparações. Apesar de eu amar a Beyoncé e reconhecê-la como uma cantora vocal STAR e Adele uma boa cantora também, não tem como se igualarem a Whitney, porque há um abismo entre elas.
