You had to have talent back then. Regards.
@redstone5149Ай бұрын
Auto tune and pitch correction wasn’t invented back then. Therefore, you had to actually have singing talent to succeed. Nowadays you can literally take anyone off the street and add smoke, wind machines, scantily clad women, obnoxiously fake diamond encrusted jewelry and a super car and make a hit record.

@MikeBlitzMag2 жыл бұрын
Donald, Herbert and Harry Mills (not to mention their late brother, John Junior) raised the bar so high for vocal harmony gymnastics that they still set the standard of excellence, nearly a century since they first gave it a go. So much so that Dean Martin himself considered them to be his own role models. Absolute, utter perfection.
@mileqjameel81662 жыл бұрын
I didn't know that Dean looked up to them. Wow smh! I Know Dean Martin has great vocals almost like he was a Brother himself. Not that it matters but you cant help hearing it when you a musician & a brother who's played in the church and other soul music lol. I've Always loved his voice.

CLASSIC! When I was a kid this music came out of one of my dad’s greatest and unaffordable purchases, a Curtis-Mathis b&w console with doors in front of the tv, am radio and a turntable up top . Benny Goodman, classic opera & composers, Sinatra, Bobby Darin, the Beatles, the Carpenters, Dean, Franky, Buddy, blues, jazz, Ella, oh, Ella and many more plus ‘Bubbles’ on tv. We only had 3 network channels, pbs and 1 independent that all signed off after midnight with the American Anthem. Left me to listen to radio at night in the summertime. NOW I’m trying to navigate a ‘computer in my hands’ with buttons to small for fat fingers which is 1000 times more powerful(exponentially) than the controls and genius that sent men to the moon and back and built the most elegant air breathing jet EVER, the SR-71. What a joy it is to listen to true artists that are perfect w/o earbuds LIVE on stages everywhere, is it not a privilege? Honestly, you must be humbled ….. btw; I’ll only kneel before my God but stand proudly for America

Saw, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. (Old blue eyes, old red eyes, old 1 eye) in the 1980s at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. My son is kind of named after Dean Martin.
