My mom and dad used to play their LPs when I was young, that how I got know them. Years later I was in a concert with them as a member of the USAF Band of Liberty in Boston. Of course, most of them had passed away, but Don Mils was still alive and his son John Mills was singing with him. It was a great night! That was in 1999. Later, after I I retired from the USAF, John hired me for a couple of gigs--he was still doing his father's and uncle's music in 2010, with another man singing one of the harmony parts, still billing as the Mills Brothers.
