Hey Zoe, i'm glad that you share the same feelings! I learned so much about my diagnosis during the making of this film. I learned that ADHD is so much more than just a distorder! It's an advantage we are born with as we have the ability to think out of the box in another perspective during any situation and I really hope you can use it to your advantage too! ADHD has always the key to every successful idea I've had.

Coincidentally , whenever I recollect how I reached a place or near past incidents , I remember your video as well. . I feel restless but keep anger under control. Time sense is another big I struggle with . I love learning but classroom is a prison for me unless the teacher makes it engaging and interactive

Why would someone rat another person out for cheating like he’s not trying to steal your smartness just past the test
@tehrinny7031
@tehrinny7031 5 жыл бұрын
He may not have even been looking with the intent to cheat. I have to put a lot of concentration into not staring at people. A simple look up from a test to think, turns into a look of curiosity and in comes the thoughts "oh I like her hairstyle, I think i saw that purple shirt she's wearing on sale at the mall, but I didn't get it because I really like a more bluish shade of purple than pinkish, come to think of it I really prefer cool colors. Oh wait, this was a test. Oh crap I forgot that assignment from yesterday." And so the person sees and suspects you were cheating. Why else would anyone be looking over at you during a test, right? Wrong. He probably wasn't even aware of it and was probably thinking about yesterday. Although ADHD can occur in anyone regardless of intellect, the more intelligence you have, the higher probability that you have something like ADHD, high functioning autism, Aspergers, or learning disabilities. He may very well be the smartest damn person in the class, but presents like a complete careless idiot. I can't count the number of teachers who believed I was stupid. I actually found a report from a teacher who claimed I had low intellectuality in 1st grade. A few pages later an IQ test administered by the school psychologist determined I had a high IQ and could do the work of a 5th grader easily. So smart folks with untreated ADHD often underachieve a LOT. It's a sad reality a lot of us face if left untreated/undiagnosed. Thank you for attending my tedtalk.

@@oitsme912 There are various different medications. Some people react better to some than others. Many people prefer not to be medicated and go different routes to treat it, such as diet change, cognitive behavioral therapy, seeing an adhd coach. I'm finding medication to be a game changer for me.

@jewels3846
@jewels3846 2 жыл бұрын
@@oitsme912 I chose medications because I needed something to help. I was spiraling before my diagnoses at 25 and was on my second year of medical leave because my mental health was at the point it was impacting me physically and I lost 60 pounds in less than 3 months because I just couldnt eat from the constant stress. My diagnoses was a surprise as when i saw my new psychologist (first one was super sexist and never took me serious) I never even thought ADHD could be the issue. I am on concerta and I reacted well to it but there are so many different types including non-stimulant options because everyone can react differently to the meds even though they would fall have ADHD I went back to work within 3 months (my work required my psychologist to sign off on it) and have been back at work for a year. It also helps me control my emotions better. I still feel the same emotions but instead of being stuck in those thought loops all day, I can shrug off the bad times quicker-usually within 30 min-1 hour And I know for me its the meds because when they were off at night I am the same person I was before meds. I even had a meltdown tonight because my meds were wearing off amd I was over stimulated. Suddenly 3 family members and the dog joined me outside and the sudden noise increase when i was already overstimulated and tired was too much. I can only say, if you feel like meds might help talk with your doctor about the options. Its not a one size or dose fits all and some people feel better not being on meds. And if the meds make you feel like a zombie/change who you are/have bad side effects then that is not the right med for you. I am the same person in terms of my personality. I just can choose to focus and get my work done when I want too, have a better control of my emotions so I dont over react to all the negative or have it stick with me all day and it clears my head from feeling so full of every thought that crosses my brain to only having the one train of thought in my head Whatever you decide is best for you just realise you arent alone or broken. And it isnt your fault that your brain works like this, we are born with ADHD

I'm was diagnosed with adhd at 14 due to being bullied and got agitated at school back then screaming and hurting myself. Many people I came across have always either look down on my ADHD or else most think ADHD is nth or normal since I think like normal human, 6 years after ord from army I find myself no where, happiness, purpose alone still without a career. Yesterday even one of a peer support specialist in institute of mental health even provoke, agitated and threaten me to call security just because he think I'm ignorant but fail to realise he provoke me to such anger. I really felt so much hate in this society after meeting so many people treat people with ADHD like shit.

If you think this is ADHD.... then what I am experiencing is 10x worst then. When Ken threw a fit and there was a scene replaying of the student and the teacher. For me that will experience at least 50x afterwards until the next day. I will be a maniac and lose control of everything. Like even sometimes I would suddenly be suprised of the what I am currently doing because my soul is floating.

I dont know if I have ADHD but I think it's possible. I can never focus and if I do it's about five minutes. I always forget things like what I was bout to do or where I put things. I always lose smth and never find it. I'm very energetic and do good in music, PE, Arts but I have troubles with all the other subjects because I can't focus on what the teacher is saying and I often daydream or zoom out. I need to ask my seat mate or friend to keep me in check if I do these things so the teacher won't notice me not paying attention. I have a hard time reading German (I'm going to an Austrian school so it's a main subject) like the words don't make sense and some letter disappear while other move a bit or change shape. I'm going to repeat the 9th grade because I can't pass the class. I'm a C student and my GPA was 2.8 or smth. I'm not stupid but I'm hopeless in by he acedemic area I'll probably drop out of school and have a part time job, oh well. I have low self-esteem and anxiety but I have a group of friends but I dont talk a lot. My mom drank alcohol and smoked during my whole pregnancy and the docter said it would be a bad idea for her to stop doing so. As a kid I never listened and I would always run around and be active, my punishment would often be that I have to stay still for five minutes but I could never do that. My legs or hands would move a lot and tbh they still do that today. 😅

The criteria you have to meet to be diagnosed with ADHD is this:A persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity- impulsivity that interfere with functioning or development asA Inattention: 6 or more of the following symptoms are persistent and happens often: 1 fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork 2 difficulty sustaining attention in tasks or play activities 3 does not seem to listen when spoken directly 4 does not follow through on instruction and fails to finish schoolwork, chores... 5 difficulty organizing tasks and activities 6 avoid, dislike or is reluctant to engage in tasks that require sustained mental effort 7 often looses things necessary for tasks or activities, 8 easily distracted by extraneous stimuli 9 forgetful in daily activities B Hyperactivity-Impulsivity: 6 or more persistent and inconsistent with developmental level. Often... 1 fidgets with or taps hands or feet or squirms in seat 2 leaves seat in situation when remaining seated is expected 3 runs about or climbs in situations where it is inappropriate 4 unable to play or engage in leisure activities 5 "on to go" acting like is "driven by motor" 6 talks excessively 7 blurts out an answer before a question has been completed 8 has difficulty waiting his/her turn 9 interrupts or intrudes others

Some people can have mostly attention deficit, with only some hyperactivity and impulsivity. If you can force a little to not drop out school it would be great. But whatever you manage to do, never give up your passion, that is the only thing you can do with not too much effort. People with ADHD are not all the same, their personality can help them to succeed in life very well if they are enough creative in defeating these symptoms and leave well with them. Learning other language can be quite easy if you speak it every day, no matter how bad with people who speaks it perfect. Stay toon with your passion.

What’s the point of going to school when you have ADHD focusing is impossible I would rather prefer home schooling than sitting with a bunch of people in a room learning the same thing with them at a fast pace which they are comfortable with and the person with ADhd lacks behind 😂😢😢😢😂

wellezz Qranto well, adhd can just be attention deficit or hyperactivity, if I'm not mistaken. I think the hyperactivity part is where he gets really mad easily. For me, I have more attention problems that hyperactivity problems.

I was diagnosed with ADHD, it's not this severe, you won't have this bad of flashbacks, and in some cases none at all, you just get distracted really easy, tend to stare into space/daydream idk other terms for it but i guess those work, and fidget more than the average person
