Got to try this bottle when Bill was in Nashville and have never related to every. single. word. of a video more. It’s a masterpiece in the way that almost no other bourbons are. Dangit Bill and dangit Heaven Hill!

You should get into aged Armagnac(particularly cask strength) ! Such an underrated spirit with tons of complexity that rivals some of the best whiskeys you can find!

Cracked one open at a whiskey gathering we had a month ago. I must say it was stunning. One of our members provided a Russell's 13 and a blind was in order. Personally I picked the HH17 over the Russell's but it sure held its own. Need to do HH17 vs some BTAC or that Rare Hare 🤔

I've been wanting a bottle of this along with the 17-year BIB Old Fitzgerald. Those two would set me back well over $2,000. So yea, nope. Dammit. But a 9.7 makes me want to find a restaurant that might have it. Maybe I can get a 1-oz pour for $100. Glad you were able to try it. I love Heaven Hill products.

This, parkers heritage 10 heavy char, one particular bottling of eht single barrel, and hochstadters 16 are on my mount Rushmore of bourbon (and rye). It really is fantastic. Love your reviews btw. Keep up the good work.

Matt I am in complete agreement with you on this one. I have had everything from BTAC to King of Kentucky to dusties and everything that's supposed to be the best. When I tried Heaven Hill 17 I was beyond belief at how good it was. It is by far the best thing I have ever had.

I was lucky to get a bottle and reviewed it on my channel when it came out and it’s amazing it’s the best bourbon I’ve ever tasted hands down. I haven’t gotten anything else this year close so my 2022 bourbon of the year is going to be a contest for 2nd place haha

Just tried a pour at a bar, I thought it was very good, but to our surprise, we had ORVW 10 year following and we all agreed that while the heaven hill 17 was more unique and interesting, the ORVW 10 was overall better tasting and more enjoyable

Part of me wants to say HH because of how amazing it is and recency bias. Plus I know that the bottle will be the same as the sample I had. The other part of me says King of Kentucky because it has been my #1 Unicorn since tasting it at your house and it is my favorite bourbon of all time.....buuuuut they are Single Barrels....what if I got one that wasn't as special?? I can't decide. That would be an amazing choice to have to make, lol.

for me personally the Heaven Hill 24 yo that sold through single cask nation is my fave from past few years, even though the abv is significantly lower than this one. I'm also a Scotch guy that very much enjoys bourbon so I can't compare it to every allocated bourbon major release of the past few years, but for enjoyment it's pretty high up. It deserves high scores, but for me didn't offer anything completely unique to warrant a near perfect score. Again, just me and how I judge whiskies. Cheers!
