Good shoe off. Hard for me to justify getting the Adios 9 when I already have too many lower stacked shoes like the Brooks Hyperion Tempo, Adidas Adios 4, Asics Tartheredge and Saucony Sinister amongst others sitting on the shoe shelf hardly getting any wear. Best of luck with your 5K training.

How does the adios 9 compare in energy return to the topo cyclone?
@thecaptainchas28205 күн бұрын
@@noscop444 I would say the Topo Cyclone has a lot more noticeable energy return. They are both super light, but the Adios 9 almost makes the Cyclone 2 feel built up. That said, the Adios 9 feels lighter, more streamlined, and nimble.

@thecaptainchas2820 Interesting. This makes me believe that adidas would just add a bit more stack then the foam would be alot more noticeable. Altough I think it's already good as is since it's not that stable

I still run in Nike Flyknit racers circa 2012..how would these compare ? Thanks for the review..AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!

@@veliborvasovicofajax5358 man, that’s a blast from the past. I never ran in the Flyknit Racer so I can’t answer that. I was in the Adios and the Brooks Green Silence for longer races, and then stripped down flats like the Wave Ekiden for shorter stuff. The Adios 9 feels a lot more dynamic, but still has a ton of ground feel.

Thoughts on 5k to 10k racer between the Adios 9 and Takumi Sen 10?
@thecaptainchas282014 күн бұрын
@@ryanwiesman9921 are you looking for something with a plate (or rods) or without?
@ryanwiesman992114 күн бұрын
@ not certain. Do you feel the rods actually help in the short/mid distance races?
@thecaptainchas282014 күн бұрын
@ I feel like rods or plates help in any distance when paired with a super foam. That’s why even the top end track spikes for MD and LD events have those carbon features. Not everyone wants to train in those shoes all the time though, which makes sense. If you want a 5k/10k racer that I think will outperform both the Adios 9 and the Takumi San 10, I bet the StreakFly 2 will do that when it releases in March. It will be plated and stripped down and quite different from the StreakFly 1. To that end, the original StreakFly and the adios 9 will serve better as training tools. However, for those distances, as far as shoes that are available right now, I race in the ASICS Metaspeed Edge Paris. Even though it’s designed for races up to the marathon, it’s a super fast shoe for me for 5k-15k. I’ll talk about that more in a review/shoe-off I have coming out on Sunday for a different shoe. Stay tuned!
