and also i am a lighter runner, 135lbs, 44 yrs old 5'6 and the zen does not that sink others have said so its not too soft for me as other reviewers have found which i think also makes a difference imo.

I did my first run with the Neo Zen last Sunday. Was a 11km with average pace of 5:40 per km and it was a fun run ! I overpronate and heel strike and I felt a very good stability, much better than a Nike Infinity Run 4 that has knit upper as the Neo Zen and also much more stable than a 1080 v13 that also have the same 6mm drop off the Zen. What I felt from the bounce from the Neo Zen is similar to what I felt with the Invincible Run 3 : it is a bit woobly the energy return from the foam at the heel but both shoes are very stable for me. I also got the Mizuno Wave Sky 8 with the the Enerzy NXT and it is a heel more wobbly in the heel in my first few runs. What a um trying to say is that the Neo Zen is a work of art and it is extremely breathable running shoes for the summer time here in south of Brazil where it is minimal of 30°C at the time I go running. Other shoes I got I have then drying up for all afternoon after my runs. But the Zen just got a tiny wet. Great job Mizuno.

That Evo SL is a beauty! Got nearly 100 miles on my pair 👌🏻 Will definitely be picking up another pair once adidas start releasing some new colourways 😊

The Evo SL is the best training shoe I've ever had despite the tongue being a bit too short. Unfortunately I already have 311km on that one o.O.

Great comparison video - I was all set to order the Evo SL next time it came into stock but now rethinking that, two great shoes it seems, can’t go wrong with either!

Mizuno Neo Zen gets my vote. I am over 1.9m tall and weigh close to 105kg. For my size, pace (+- 6min/km) and style of running, I also prioritise cushioning above everything else. And you can’t ignore the pricing of the Mizuno over here in New Zealand. Thanks Aubrey 💪🏻

Another awesome comparison, Aubrey! Personally waiting to try the Evo SL to be released and hopefully in a wide sizes.

I don't have the Neo Zen, but I can definitely tell you by my first run in the Adidas Evo SL, that this is a shoe that will be tough for Adidas to improve on the 2nd version. 🔥🔥🔥

Heeeeeeyyyy!! Very happy to have this vid keep me company while on my spin bike this morning. You’re realllly good at making me want more shoes- I need to try both of these sometime this year. Stash em away for a rainy day 🤗

Thanks for the videos Aubrey, always nice to have in my living room lol. Still debating between the Evo SL and the novablast 5. What's your favorite guys and why?

Hey Aubrey! I really enjoy your videos cause i´m an average runner to ;)... I´m heading for my first ever marathon in September this year and i´m aiming something between 4:00 and 4:20 hrs. My question is -since we run similar paces- how tall (please in cm´s) and how heavy are you? This is a lag of information with most of my favourite run-youtubers. That would help me to compare to myself when i´m thinking about new shoes, specially my first marathon-race-day-shoe! I really love Ben parkes and i can 100% buy what he reccoments. Also yowana is great cause he has a different aproach, but i love the shoes he hates (Zoom Fly 6 for example).

In the US, the Novablast is $140, $10 cheaper than the Neo Zen or EVO SL. I've also heard rumors that the Hyperion 3 (also $140) will be entering the conversation in this category. Do you think these are versatile daily trainers or more lightweight speed shoes?

Hey Aubrey, you stated that you prefer the Zen based off of how you're built. I take that as you're saying it's cushioned enough because you are a "bigger" runner. I'm curious, how do you think you would have needed to be built or what was needed in order for you to pick the Evo Sl?
@AubreyRunning2 күн бұрын
All I said in the section you’re referring to can be summarised as “I find the Neo Zen to be more cushioned”.
@TheBsheep2 күн бұрын
@@AubreyRunning Right, I got that, I have the Neo Zen myself. I know it's all opinionated and relative to that person/runner but I was just curious on what could've leaned you more to the Evo Sl being that I'm considering grabbing a pair when they become available...I appreciate the feedback though!

I'm light for me right now, but heavy for most of these distance runners, currently 81kg's. What's your weight at?

when the evo sl gets it full release it will be on everyone's feet. I will say i love them both but yea LSP has that pop the TPU does not have.

Evo SL wins this easily for me. The Mizuno is too spongy, didn't work for me...:(

How much do you weigh? Wdym how you are built?

I had the same issue with my Mizuno, only thing is I did use them on a run and they will not exchange them for me. Debating if I should get another one but down a half size. 😢

The key is not telling them you took them on an outdoor run 😉

Zen is one of the best dailys in the market, also more comfortable than EVO SL. Half size down works for me better than TTS. EVO SL is a great shoe (midsole wise), but too much overhyped. Adidas once again saved on wrong corners, bad tongue + laces,the upper in the front is too wide and the outsole probably won't last 400-500km. On the other hand Neo Vista, is more comfortable than Zen 😊
