Beautiful filming, Stelvio! Awesome music! felt it in my blood like, listening at my PC with my headphones. Hope you'll be back soon to post more vids! Beautiful footage and great review, what the heck, Adidas! You're the Adidas guru, for me at least, so thanks for the "guilty as charge" comments for those shoes!

Nice footage ! I'm still running with version 2.0( almost 700KM!), And the shoe holds up really well. And still I continue to enjoy her after Lightstrike midsole become more forgiving.
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Yaki, the version two still is enjoyable and looking at it the SL20-3 looks similar but unfortunately the new set up got boring... yes when the LightStrike become more forgiving is a better feeling under the foot. My hope now goes in the next version 😊

Adidas should have never changed the og SL20. Unfortunately they made it a more mainstream daily trainer, and so it lost its snappy tempo shoe sensation. I still love the 1st version and have one new pair of them boxed in the shelf.

Totally agree with you... what a pity! I won't buy the next version if this is the direction....

I actually like the SL20 line. The first version was a bit more snappy and a little firmer but version two had more cushion under foot which I like. It did feel less responsive but I liked the cushioning. Ive used the Boston 10 and the 20.2 for all my speed/tempo sessions and I do like the Bostons added forefoot cushioning but the 20.2's lighter weight has me reaching for it quite often. Im curious to try the 20.3.
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Hi Andreas, yes version two has more cushioning and of course the preference is different from runner to runner. I believe version 2 was still ok even though less firmer than version 1, but version 3 didn't give me any emotion. Of course it could be different in your case, I'm curios to know your feedback about version 3.

Grande Stelvio!! Come sempre video molto professionale e ben realizzato! 😉
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Grazie Marco! Keep running! 😊🏃🏻♂️👍

It's a little bit sad to hear this, but is good to hear true reviews. I have 2 pairs of V1, one of has arround 800km, and stil is good! V1 are firm, light and fast, for me V1 was a cheapier version of boston 9, who I liked most. Please, named 2 or 3 shoes look like V1 or boston 9. thanks!
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Yes Rodney it is indeed, because V1 was great in different aspects and they managed to completely change this shoe in worst. The V2 still was acceptable but the V3 I would not suggest to buy. Boston 9 was a great shoe, I replaced it with the Adios 6/7 now. Thanks, keep running!

Can't wait for your next review, which I guess will be about your next everyday trainer. Adios 7 ... 😜 BTW, the OG SL20, after a break in period, turned out to be a best buy at 58 euros and change. Decent trail running shoe, great overall performer and now grocery store and leisure shoe of choice.
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Ciao Massimo, I found the RC4 but unfortunately not yet the size for the Adios 7, if you know where they have a 44 please just let me know, I checked it in RunnerInn but I was too late apparently. The Adios 6 in the end was my daily trainer, so I hope to find the same feeling or even better in the 7. Well said, the OG SL20 is a great deal for €58, great value for money!

I'm not happy about the direction the Sl20 line is taking, either. The RC4 looks promising. Seems to be a lower and firmer Adios 6. Looking forward to your review.

Thanks, yes me as well, not sure if they will change direction but i'm not happy either. I'm curios as well about the RC4, I saw that has a similar torsion system like the Adios 6, it looks like the kind of shoe I'm happy with, let's try 👍

Great thx for the review, it's been helpful. May i ask what other products at similar price you would recommend?
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Hi Damian, thank you so much, I'm glad to hear that. In the last months I ran with the Asics Evoride 2 and the Puma Liberate Nitro, you can find the reviews in the channel. I found both shoes a great value for money. I would add the RC4 because probably the price will drop a bit. And with a little bit more budget a shoe that I like a lot is the Ados6

It's a shame they've taken a shoe that worked & changed it for the worse. I must admit I prefer the look of the upper in version 2 but that's only aesthetically, it still has to work. Hopefully, they learn for the next one!
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Exactly Martin, it was great and affordable, probably they wanted this model as more mainstream daily trainer as @Tetsuo said, but what a boring shoe :-) I hope you are doing well and keep running!

I ran in v1 2000km and in v2 1300 so far. The first version was a much better shoe, lighter and faster. They changed the constructions unnecessarily

Yes, indeed, the first model was great... I'm curios about the version 4 in January... but the direction they took with this model is not that exiting

Do you have a recommendation for someone who found great success with the sl20.1?
@runningwithstelvio5 ай бұрын
Hi Cassius, I would not suggest to buy the version 2 or 3 of the SL20 because you will be disappointed. I would suggest to look in shoes like the Adios 8 or 9 even the 7 was great, or the new Adizero SL 2, or the RC4. I hope it helps

HI I had Boston8 in the past for marathon and now I have for interval. And the new Boston10 for marathon (3h10) and 63kg. The Boston8 have a lot of kilometers and I don't know if I'll buy a Adios6, SL20... for my intervals (4:00-3:30/km)
@runningwithstelvio2 жыл бұрын
Hi Diego, we have the same weight and if I should choose between an SL20.2 or 3 and an Adios 6/7 for interval training at that pace I would go for the Adios6 or 7, they are lighter and more responsive. If you are able still to find the original version of the SL20 then this version is ok for interval trainings. I hope this helps. Keep running! 🏃🏻♂️👍

@@runningwithstelvio i think the worse is they price this sl20 in my country to be in the same range as adios 6 and asics magic speed. jesus for the latter it has a carbon plate and cost the same as an unresponsive lightstrike trainer.
