The depression bit got me fuming. My dad got depressed as a side effect from heart surgery (surprisingly common), and YES it was due to the trauma the body endured during surgery. He has no history with depression. It was strictly due to brain chemistry and it made him impossible to help without medicine countering that side effect. Mental health is also physical, people. You can't work out to fix cancer ugh

Random share but - In Marketing school the teacher had us do blind soda ('pop' here, lol) taste tests. She had like 3 different brand names and one no name pop. FYI: the ph scale is logarithmic. So a change from 1 to 2 is a bigger change than 2 to 3. My dad got the worst case of covid you could possibly get. Hospital bound, went under to get a ventilator, died 3 times while under, fell into a coma after the surgery for 3 weeks, and when he woke up he couldnt speak, couldn't move, he was almost in a vegetative state. My dad has no history of mental illness or any depression and became SEVERELY depressed while he was relearning everything he learned when he was a toddler. The depression segment got under my skin.

This lady came in and the cashier told her she needed a mask. The lady started screaming about she is not going to wear one and how covid wasn't real. I went OFF. @@fortyforfree long story short I was out doordashing and I got in my car after dropping off an order and this guy walked up trying to say something so I rolled my window down just a crack and we had a short conversation about selling me drugs but i told him i was not interested the he reached through the crack in the window and unlocked my door, got in my car and told me to give him my wallet or he’d shoot me so I did (I don’t think he had a gun bc he didn’t pull one out or anything but I wasn’t gonna call his bluff just in case) but he was holding a windshield breaker tool and jabbed me in the arm to scare me i guess so that’s when i handed the wallet to him and then he got out, told me to drive away, and then he smashed my backseat window

Similarly, so many comedians out there now are hilarious and non problematic and are being hidden by the Joe Rogan wave of comedians. Ethan tends to generalize comedians , but had a great take on Shane Gillis, and I believe there are dozens of other current comedians worth watching.

It’s definitely true my depression has cost me health problems due to lack of dietary requirements and vitamin D , so I needed to make sure I took all my shots and flu shots, so he means the factors surrounding depression ( ie health and well-being)
