Although I'm not a fan of trump when it comes to politics, I was pleasantly surprised to hear his opinions of AOC as it was completely unexpected. I think not only myself but everyone else--regardless of political alignment--expected him to bash her as he's tended to do in the past, but the fact that he gave what seems to be an honest opinion of her and was able to compliment all the things she does well is something we need all politicians to do. It may seem small, but something like that is a key step in tampering down partisan gridlock and getting politicians to actually attempt to genuinely reach across the aisle. Seems like trump at the very least understands that voting/taking actions in alignment with your party solely because it's your party doesn't accomplish anything.
