This film was so spot on with how they portrayed kids' imaginations. Kids typically only create fantasy situations with people in their own lives, and be a hero to those people. In this case, it was his own immediate family.

My grandpa loved this movie so much, I can remember watching this when I was little and I asked "grandpa what is he doing?" Grandpa's answer was "he's thinking what he would do if he had a BB gun." This movie will always remind me of grandpa.

Because I watched Jackie Chan a lot, and played nes Ninja Gaiden, and watched the parts of Ninja Scroll that my older brother would let me watch. @@anonymousmobster2444 Yeah, and unlike the abominations of either 2 or the LA Musical, it makes sense because Ralphie is a kid, one that doesn't have that much live experiences aside from what he heard on radio or, on the rare occasion, watched in a theater. For a family that lived through the Depression, they look well off, likely due to a manufacturing boom (probably on the offset of WWII considering it's circa. 1940)
